I have hdfc savings account with negative balance of

-21k . Do banks remove this negative balance. Or i should pay 21k. Please let me know is there any workaround for this.

Which bank ? How did you accumulated that negative balance ?

In savings account, negative balance is not allowed unless you availed some service from bank

its hdfc bank..

Most of them are DHANI..ecs charges..

2 years ago i used to have some subscription plan with dhani..i have closed the loan but didn’t cancelled subscription plan .so they used to submit ecs 5 to 10 times a month..

Now ecs charges and non maintenance charges combined 21k.

I have query.. I stopped idfc bank a/c for transactions ever since they reduced interest to 4per.. Will I be liable to pay negative balance or can I file a case against idfc++?

you don’t have to pay, leave account.. it will get auto closed in 18months.

No banks cannot ask their customer balance to maintain MAB. Itn8s your money just don’t transfer or make deposits. Just leave as it is. It will be closed after six months.

i had axis account and it had -1700 due to non maintainance of amb and one of the upi app had that account as primary and it ate my 100rs and the balance became -1600 🙃 .

and for the author of the post the only problem is you will not be able to open hdfc account but you will be able to get credit card and other services as you have not defaulted to any loan . we don’t need to have a saving account with bank for credit card.
