Hi dimers,
I did a mistake using fk axis card for offline jewelry purchases without knowing I won’t get cashback for those txns pensive sob

I have below cards
Hdfc diners black
Amazon pay ICICI
Sbi simply click
Indisind platinum
Amex rewards

Can anyone suggest which card is best for offline jewelry purchases?

If jewellery purchase is offline then you can rule out simplyclick(only 0.25%). Indusind caps reward points per month on the basis of credit limit of the card so any amount spend over the card limit in a month won’t get any rewards.

Dcb give 3.3% and fk axis 1.5% assuming merchant is eligible for reward points, thinking why did you choose Axis

Bcoz I thought it’s direct cashback (if I get), others are reward points..

@skaluva it’s ok bro, just move on.
Since going/purchasing gold will be a planned activity, from next time onwards do a little research on selecting one of the best of all the available cards with you. Calling it’s cc and confirming also will be a good idea.

DCB or Infinia 3.3% should be the best for offline jewellery purchase.

Also though tedious and requires months of planning.. but buying gv of physical shops (like Tanishq, Joyalukkas, Kalyan, PCJ) from Amazon using discounted amazon pay balance will be very profitable (say you can get 33% via DCB/infinia, 10% via millenia etc..). Even apay icici will give 2% assured.

Lastly do look into any milestone based offers. Say millennia gives 1k on 1L transaction in a quarter. Amex and most others run similar offers too from time to time.

Can you elaborate on this? How we get 33% using DCB?

Buy Amazon instant vouchers from gyftr hdfcsmartbuy using DCB/infinia @ 33% (valuation to Reward points which can be encashed 1:1 for hotels/flights etc..)

Buy Tanishq GV from Amazon using amazon pay

As you can get 5k only AGV every month, thats why I wrote this path will be “tedious and require months of planning
