Cyclone Tauktae has created havoc in the country. Many places have seen unimaginable destruction, even more than last year’s Cyclone Nisarg. so lets share any such instances if happened nearby us so that related dimers can give a helping hand.

I thought this cyclone will hit Mumbai and Diu and proceed towards the Arabian sea but it’s already hit Rajkot and going inwards which is now reaching Ahmedabad

Lots of tree uprooted due to heavy gusty winds yesterday.
1 tree in my complex’s garden (Mumbai Suburban) was uprooted and it crashed into the building next to it. committee tried to contact fire brigade, but due to heavy demand it din’t come. still waiting.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat and Diu on Wednesday to personally review the situation there and the damage wrought by cyclone Tauktae, government sources said.

In my village in South Goa no electricity, no mobile coverage, no tap water for last 4 days.
Trees fallen everywhere. Houses close to coast are destroyed. Houses with roof tiles blown off need extensive repairs. Electronic items soaked in rain. Mangoes and cashew fruits destroyed
Same across Maharashtra coastline. But our God is partial. I Will not vote thls man again.
State govt gives compensation why blame centre you would ask. There is an emergency relief fund with centre which is disbursed to give compensation to victims during natural calamity. His skipping the visit means delayed or reduced compensation to the poor people of the 2 states.
Totally agree. Same in the case of vaccine availability.
