A cancelled cheque leaf is asked for some services like mutual fund account verifications and sometimes even refunds. Many might not have chequebooks or simply order an entire book to mark one leaf cancelled. I like how Paytm Bank is solving this problem. They are giving options to download a PDF or email the document.
Want yours? Login to Paytm Net banking and go to "Other Services". A similar option might be present in the mobile app but I did not check.
Update:
It turns out that Paytm has stopped issuing chequebooks and this is the only option for those who need cancelled cheques.
