It means casting will stop?
or it means we cannot install hotstar on smart tv & watch as one device only supported. But casting can still work?
I am not a subscriber. What benefits will I get if I subscribe before 31st Aug 2021?
Our three new plans – Mobile , Super and Premium are applicable from 1st Sept-2021.
If you subscribe to our current Disney+ Hotstar VIP plan before 31 Aug-2021, you will be migrated to the Mobile plan from 1st September. You will be able to enjoy the best of both the current VIP and new Mobile plan by getting full access to all Disney+ Hotstar content on our platform (including English) while continuing to login on multiple devices. Post the expiry of your current Disney+ Hotstar VIP membership, the new plan will be applicable upon renewal. You will be charged the applicable plan price at the time of renewal.
If you subscribe to our current Disney+ Hotstar Premium plan before 31 Aug-2021, you will enjoy the benefits of the old premium plan & the new premium plan (content access across 4 devices simultaneously) after 1st Sept. Post the expiry of your current Disney+ Hotstar Premium membership, the new plan will be applicable upon renewal. They are updating vip users to mobile plans, isn’t that outrageously wrong?
No. They are adding benifits of new mobile plan ie English Content to VIP plan (multi screen, multi device casting etc.). You are basically getting english content for free

I got this response from the Hotstar team via mail-
“The new Mobile plan gives you full access to all Disney+ Hotstar content (including English) on our platform. Users will be able to watch content across multiple devices (1 device at a time) until their current membership expires. You will also be able to log in to your TV and other devices like you used to previously.”
So I guess this means if anyone buys VIP till 31st August, they will get all the content (Including English) along with TV and PC support.
Yup, only for a year, after that renewal will be at new pricing

That a good idea. We’ll get VIP multi device login, with just one screen at a time, but with English content for just ₹200 extra

Are they giving 12+1 With new subscription?
They said existing vip users will get best of two, but are giving 720p instead of 1080p and stereo audio instead of dolby.
