I had an Hp Touchscreen Slim laptop for 3 years (2014 to 2017 mid) and got used to touchscreen and compact lightweight form factor. Then bought Acer predator Helios from Flipkart offer ,it was great but I was missing on Compactness,Touch and great display. So I bought an Acer Compact laptop this One from amaz offer at 27500
https://www.flipkart.com/acer-spin-5-core-i3-7t...

Now I have 2 laptops. Other one is used only for gaming after buying this one. Anyone out there using same or similar setup stuck_out_tongue

I have 2 laptops. One from office and other one personal. Though planning to buy acer Helios because my personal laptop is like 8 years old grin grin

Buying 2 laptop is waste (according to me). Hardcore gamers should buy/assemble desktop for gaming and keep laptop for work/productivity. Laptops are not great for gaming.
Note: I have laptop with moderate gaming capabilities. It’s slim and lightweight too.

I agree but if you are someone who constantly moves or stays in 2 places then a gaming laptop is what comes to your rescue not a desktop. I stay in 2 cities and thats why this setup. Plus I got in an offer price of 50k for Nvidia Gtx 1050Ti & extended my warranty for 3 years thus I am worry free sunglasses

Yeah..the same one
but mine costed 80k (i7 + GTX 2060 version)
The spectre x360 i have is first gen..its been almost 5 years old…even @ 1.5kgs it feels heavy at times
Don’t want to compromise on display quality (v.important to me)..so will probably spend more (it would be nice, if there’s gonna be any loot deal on FK toungueout) and get one weighing ~1.2kgs even with a plasticky build

The concept of a separate portable one and a diff heavy use one(gaming/video editing) is mandatory for many. There arent many highly portable lightweight gaming laptops. Even if there are few they are either not in India or very costly and still weight at 1.8kgs mark

Yes 1.5kgs I too find heavy but I am skeptcial buying 1kg ultraslim laptop mainy because of battery backup , build ,durability and servicing if needed. I feel most service center workers arent equipped to deal with such fragile builts.

I badly wanted to buy that Acer i5 1kg laptop which came at around 38k last year I guess. It had a 36k buyback price after 1 yr which made it a amazing deal. Hope you remember it(Do share dd thread link if u have stuck_out_tongue)

I don’t game so have just 1 personal laptop that’s used for office work too. As my office work doesn’t involve using any process intensive tools I rely on portability and have been using a macbook air. First one I got in 2011 and the current one I got in 2018.

Never really needed a powerful machine all these years but I am feeling the need of it now. Might get a more powerful machine in coming months, not a macbook pro though as I can’t afford it.

There is no such thing as a ‘real gamer’. People buy gaming laptops because they have a job that involves tours and travel. I cannot carry my desktop with me when my work sends me to Geneva. So please stop this ‘real gamer’ nonsense.
