Ps: IDEA – Andhra Pradesh circle
I’m looking to exhaust my balance & port to bsnl at end.
I have balance in my sim. When I checked *121# menu it shows some 3G/4G packs like Rs 45-1GB-28days & Rs 98-3GB-28days.
So I called CC & enquired if these packs are alone enough to extend the validity by 28 days OR should I recharge with 35/65/95 packs?
They said those validity recharges are not needed if you do data pack activations. But I doubt that
One of my friend has done Rs45 recharge on 18th November so the validity has to be till 15th December, The same was shown in *125# (data balance) menu. But *121# shows O/G validity till tomorrow.
As per CC, activating data pack should have extended service validity..but its not happening for him.
Am I being misinformed by CC? or the validity is being extended on the last day of service validity?
Is it really mandatory to recharge those 35/65/95 packs or go for unlimited plans?

not sure about 45/98 pack but other unlimited pack which gives u free call and data can be activated, that’s what operators want

I see the other way..all they want either to do recharges regularly OR balances to be used. (that’s what I inferred after talking to CC)
Now if I get same validity (28 days) for Rs45 pack then why should I spend on unlimited Rs199 plan? Those 100MB/200MB/500MB for 28 days are pretty useless for me.
My plan is to keep the sim alive for more time.
Ps: I already have jio for calls & data.

if u want just for incoming then better do 35 pack as u have already jio for call/data. 45 pack gives just 1gb data, idon;t think 1gb really matter to u

Off Topic: Now a days AVOID behaving very bad interm of packs. Today I have recharged RS.149 pack on Airtel app, there it was showing as RS.51 Amazon pay gift card. But after recharge i didn’t received any free gift card.
I think idea is maintaining different validity for O/G calls and I/C calls and for data they are maintaining different validity. Finally they needed money from all ways.

Same haopened with me. Wrote on twitter and then i got it after 3 days
Regarding Airtel, I tried to activate 98 Rs plan using sim balance but it didn’t get activated so I called up Airtel and got my 149 ₹ plan activated on the last day of outgoing calls validity. It immediately got activated and new expiry date became (28 days + 7 days) in December
In Airtel, any plan above 35 is extending validity.

All unlimited bundle data+call packs extend validity internet only pack will not extend validity
I.port my sim so cc call.me.and said just recharge with 35 rs I can’t do anything for free
howz the behaviour of airtel cc they say if u want to port to jio u can and laugh 
… but unnecessary 35 gone from main balance…
