Dear Dimers,

Does anyone know how to get hdfc family accounts for parents with salary account. I received email from hdfc saying with your salary account you can avail zero balance family account for your parents. They said first open regular account and then it can be converted to family group. Now I dont know how to get those regular accounts to family group. Customer care says go to branch to get more info.

if you have a RM or virtual RM assigned to your account, then contact him/her. and then open account using the link shared by your RM. these accounts are grouped together and enjoy the same benefits as main account.

Mostly RMs do it for you. First they will open savings account for your family members (even for your kids) and then they will group them together with you being the primary holder.

I did same for my family member. Opened account online. Did video kyc and the called rm and told her the user id. She grouped it under same account.

Onyl issue with opening regular account first is that the debit card send to you at time of account opening will be chargeable.
