Does blocking UPI prevent receiving money from UPI?

Respected dimers! I have blocked UPI services on my HDFC account thinking it'll prevent activation of UPI and sending money from this account but to my surprise I'm unable to receive money in this account from other UPI apps. Is it normal? So is the block applicable for incoming UPI transactions too? Thanks for your answers!

Yes bro there's a separate feature to block only UPI

yes, blocking is applicable for both incoming & outgoing money through UPI
