Does VI have any SMS top-up option?

If one is on 99 prepaid plan (which doesn’t have OG SMS facility) can one use any SMS top-up to send some SMS?

Do u have main balance??..if yes then sms will work
No. in Vi 99 sms does not work even if you have main bal.
But 129 has a validity of 18 days only
iam using airtel 99 pack and sms are going without main balance.. so it is better than Vi
That’s one reason which is keeping Vi at big disadvantage against Airtel as almost everyone smartphone user needs SMS service for upi services these days.
Was forced to spend 200(apx.) on vi just for the same reason recently.
Airtel is providing full SMS services on 99 plan while vi provides only port-out sms on the same plan.
Having or not main balance doesn’t make any effect on this, atleast for me (Bihar C) @AyushiiiVijay @satraghav
Our retailer too says the same about VI’s 99₹ pack (that port SMS would go, other SMS wouldn’t).
But somehow I never tried it.

Guys I have around 3 VI numbers. Basic use is to just send receive bank alerts/upi transactions. Which recharge would be best to keep them working. Currently i recharge them once in 2 month for 99/- after the recent hike.
since you occasionally do recharge on your bank linked no, you might get scammed/ charged/ blocked without even knowing it.
move all banks to one primary number.
don’t test your luck just for UPI based offers.
