does zomato pro plus bind you to spend more

Fellow dimers things which i am going to share maybe doesn’t hold true for all but i request all do share your views on this
Around 3 months back i subscribed to zomato pro plus bought 3 months plan with a week still left now during this time i have ordered around 31 times that means more than 10 times a month earlier when i didn’t had the subscription it has taken around 2 years for similar number of orders.
Now do you think having any subscription which gives free deliveries or some other perks indirectly forces you to spend more cause i am sure if I didn’t had this subscription than my number of orders would have been 70% less thats not it during this time i also had swiggy one membership in which i also ordered for 30 times in 3 months. My swiggy membership has expired a month back and i chose to not renew it to control my spending, next week my pro plus is also expiring so i may not renew it as well atleast for sometime.
Fyi i am not a bachelor who sometimes can’t cook that’s why prefer restaurant foods, i live with family but these discounts affects and with no delivery charge you don’t argue much with your mind.

Even credit cards and e-commerce platforms work on the same principle to attract customers.
It is something related to human psychology. Back then when you didn’t had membership you had to pay min. ₹35 for every order due to which you were thinking multiple times before ordering hence order were less before.
Now, since you have membership delivery fees ain’t stopping you anymore. Also, it’s a human tendency to squeeze as much as can from everything now your mind is trying utilise as much as you can from your membership (something like getting double the money back paid for membership).
Although we don’t have Zomato / Swiggy in our village still I don’t advise my friends in city who rarely order food online to get such membership cause in hope of saving we end up spending more.
There are many more human mind games / tricks / psychology behind all these stuff but that’s the story for some other day.
The whole point of free delivery is to make people order more, be it swiggy, zomato or Amazon. People with prime order 3-4 times more than non-prime members. That is the reason they make prime so attractive with prime video, prime music etc. Same thing with swiggy, zomato.
Right and in order to save few bucks we end up in spending more
That’s why they give more discount on credit cards compared to debit cards

Simply can’t miss this loot till Aug 2022.

Lagta hai main akela he hoon … jo subscription le leta hai aur kuchchh order nahin karta 
Zomato pro plus ho toh share kariye ya sell kar dijiye 
to avoid this situation always buy in group of 3 to 4 member. When cost is lower u think I paid 50 only I will utilize to gain max 100 – 150 as against 200 investments and 400 saved in delivery fee
Great late night advice 
Zomato pro not available at my city but I got swiggy super. I can totally relate. I had total 7 orders on 2021 and I already have ordered more than 20 times this year. I agree with others that it is a mind game forcing us to spend more
