u can try to learn how to make meat based food at home that balances all nutrition. i feed my dog ram meat based diet balance to NRC standards. its way better than packed food if balanced. raw or not doesnt matter.

comming to food , i feed my lab son chicken soup in kibbles and some times rice. Feed the kids 2wice a day and ensure they stay lean and healthy. Some of the mistakes every pet parents do …
1. Frequent nail clips when they are young so they don’t give a tough time when they grow up … Dogs do not like their nails to be clipped but if you make this a habit you will save so much time and frustration .sit for a clipping session even if there is nothing to clip – make clipping sounds here and there for 5 – 10 mins and let them go .

2. Play fetch at home on tiled / granite / marbled ( in other words smooth ) floor . THIS IS A BIG ISSUE for their hips especially if they have big nails.. take them outside to play or on your terrace where the floor has some grip for them to run.

3. Shampoo – ask for anything with tea tree oil – good for their skin.

4. Lice and ticks – ask the vet , there is a chewable tablet “made in germany” ( unfortunately not made in india – no one does – checked ) . One tablet gets rid of the lice/ticks for almost 5-6 months . amazing stuff .. very safe .

5. Dog Bed – do not let them sleep seperately – after all they are kids and let them sleep with /beside/on you . There is nothing like a dogs bonding.
