my father watch only news , i was thinking of setting up a TV and DTH exclusively for him will DD DTH will be good , any body have any exp?

@panchabhut – Firestick, Android box chalana bade logo ke liye is quite difficult.
I could not teach my mom operating neither Firestick nor MI Android box so back to normal Cable TV.
If you have unlimited internet, TV+firestick, with YuppTV app, would be enough.
wont it need Wifii and wifi is dangerous to health

Yes absolutely fine , box will cost u less than 1000rs (dish antenna will be extra , if u have any old dish antenna like tata or airtel it will work) and u can watch many news channels + lot of regional channels

Not a good experience, many free channel are not available on that….everytime u have to set its frequency so after using it for 8 months i uninstalled it.

i alos was view SUN DTH who have NCF of Rs. 50 also packs like discovery pack of Rs. 8 wil suffice most of need
do zing have channel price list ? also Rs. 10+gst addition to every channel will be expensive

It’s a similar expectation at my home and now that our Unitech STB has gone kaput (motherboard gone, costs ₹450 to repair without guarantees), I am about to go for a new box.
Is Zing box a plug and play installation – on https://www.zingdigit...n/ it does not even list Karnataka where I am from. Wondering if I can get it online or offline in DishTV stores?
Also, does anyone know about DD’s iCAS system? I see that they have introduced some kind of conditional access system now. Seeing some Prysm brand’s STB at CATVIndia site. But I am not sure what advantage(s) does it offer?!
