Ather is best as of now. But before buying an EV you have to consider many different factors.

Which factor?
- Which city you are in, Tier 1 or Tier
- How's the electricity situation.
- Is the showroom around where you can go and come back within 1 charge?
- Is it your home, flat or rented?
- And what's the situation with the charger connection to home?
- Suppose life of EV is 5years [Just assume, i don't have much data on this]. Will you be able to spend less than a petrol varient?
Its just few, In my opinion Ather is far better product than their competitor.
If you have less usage, Go for the Petrol Scooter.
Any electric scooter with less than 8 years of battery warranty is a big no in my opinion. Battery replacement will cost around 25K at least. So calculate accordingly.
Also, Keep all the points by @B3A5T in consideration.
buy ola s1 pro. best scooter currently.
- if any issues happen like roadside breakdown, can it be repaired by local mechanic?
- Tier 1 / Tier 2 city
If you can sort these issues then you can safely take an Ather/ OLA S1 scooter.

And how long does it take to charge? How many units does it consume?
wait sometime and get Ola S1 Air. Most VFM
Go green with electric vehicles is a marketing gimmick imho.. The lead acid batteries they use cause much MORE HARM to environment than smoke released from fuel vehicles.

Only problem is ola have nmc battery which has avg 800 to 1000 cycles whereas LFP has double of this
Ripalbaria wrote:Ather ,ola are using nmc may be TVS have lfp u can check on there official website...
Any lpf scooter?
If you have heavy usages then go for it .
I have Ola S1 and am very happy with it, good thing I didn't buy the pro version as the 90 to 100 km range is good enough for me, I have to charge twice a week.
The Gujarat government paid a 20k subsidy after this subsidy my final price was 98K, I paid 118K originally to Ola (after fame 2 central gov subsidy)
We really enjoy driving it with music on and overtaking past everyone on every signal, folks in expensive cars stop and ask us questions about our Ola s1 like is music system built in, how much range it gives and so on. I have light blue color.
The only negative I have is that the seat height is a bit too much for my wife so make sure to test drive for all members of the family that will be using it.
My recommendation is to go for the Ola S1 if your daily run is about 40-50 km, you will have enough spare range for emergencies. If your daily run is more than that then go for S1 pro.

Should i switch to electric scooterette or not?

Are you already a scooterette user presently?
How do you rate 'ride comfort', 'handling' in the list of priorities?
What are YOUR motivations to do so?
(Parents, spouse , sibling asked me to. | My colleague has it, so I too should. | I feel economically more viable in the long run. | I like to be an 'early adopter' when it comes to such technology or gadgets.. and I am already late. | just for fun sakes, nothing in specific. | any other motivation).
How frequently you change vehicles or other major investments?
(for example: For how long did you use your first gear/gearless motorbike. If that was not entirely funded by you, then how long did you use/keep/ plan to use the most recent vehicle you purchased on your own.. if you did purchase?)

Don't even think of buying electric now if ur usage is less....Save money, it's ur hard earned money.
Is the battery replacement cost that high or that frequent?
Assuming other maintenance charges are average.
Have seen users of generic/assembled scooterettes too being reasonably satisfied... despite average or below average regular use.

Secondly, price difference between petrol bike and EV bike now....Use it to buy petrol for next few years.
EV Battery will generally have good life for about 5-6 years. Average, speed will go down gradually after first year of use.
30-40k battery price currently, not sure whether u will get the battery for current model after 5 years?

Okay, thanks for those views.
I am not the OP, nor looking forward to being part of any such decision-making process.
Just came across the discussion and thought to seek clarity on your strong opinion.
