I have read somewhere that UK movies are best to watch to learn English's speaking.
share yours's suggestion on this.
while watching English's movie , I face many problems in reading the subtitle, it is very difficult for me to focus on subtitle and video both at the same time, many time a miss the video while reading subtitle.

Also suggest good movies and series to watch to learn English.

Share experience and also vote high to this discussion so that everyone gets the knowledge and they can give feedback.

thanks in advance.

Depends on your existing English proficiency.

If you have studied English since elementary class till 12th and only problem is with speaking then it's much easier.

But if starting from absolute basics, then don't jump to movies.

Read newspapers if interested in that. Otherwise read English translations of any novels that you have already read and look for new stuff that you would like to read.

Then proceed to podcasts, topic selection is upto you. I personally like finance related so mostly listen to those. If you like religious, movie related, society related, international relations related, then you can find those.

Then start with movies. First watch the movie in your comfortable language. Read it's synopsis.

Then watch the same movie in English.

Repeat this over 1 year (giving some time daily). It helps.

All this is about theoretical English, confidence is a different aspect.

Also most important is to do only what you like to do. Don't watch / read anything just to improve English, otherwise consistency would be impossible.

Watch popular sitcoms Friends, HIMYM, The office, TBBT [ this might be little difficult for those who don't know english but if you enjoy then you will pick up the pace] and there are more as per your genre.
IMO watching series might get you more involved than movies

Also when watching anything and you don't understand google it

PS: Even though people understand English they still keep subtitles (even natives ) coz sometimes what they speak might not be totally understandable to you -- also it will make you read fast

Woh  wali  movies   maat    dekhna  usme  english  speaking  nahi  hoti .

Now  to  your  topic as  i myself  learnt  English  recently,

its the  easiest   and  nonsense  language to  learn  very fast  with high credibility  even  if  one  is  Dumb .

Start  reading newspaper and  watch news channels .this makes it easier to learn words , sentences , as we know whats going around us and current affairs and this makes it to understand and remember  in a better way.

On the other hand watching  English  movies  and understanding  it  is hurricane task , as  not  only they  talk  fast  , we are unaware of the story , and  there accent  of  talking  all are not welcome for  a newbie .

It takes more time.

Stick to reading English Newspaper  whichever Hindu / Muslim - Christian  (all are shitty  ) and Indian English News Channels

@Renegade , Vocab and grammar is foundation for the learning any language. Learn basic grammar and keep improving your vocab by reading news, books, etc. Word Power Made Easy is a best for vocab.

In starting you may face the difficulties while watching movies/series with English subs, but eventually you will catch the pace. Consistency and dedication is the key.

First start with grammar. Wren & Martin is what we used in school and I swear by it. Once you have done that then move to newspapers and/or books by Indian authors (Chetan Bhagat's are the best ones for that) with a pocket dictionary at hand. This will take months or a few years but you will definitely improve.
