Ertiga did a facelift or money lift.

more or less all facelift features of ertiga has come out, it now stands far below from competitors. It just did a moneylift ranging from 65k to 1.5L with this face lift/money lift.

i am planning to close my booking and move on to others. 

what is your suggestion, stick or move for some other car?

i booked AT zxi+, that would be around 14.5L on road.

Still it will sell like hot cakes…… Maruti Suzuki lovers are zombies…. They will buy anything… Maruti offers…. 


Kia carens is much better option…… If u want cng… Then… You have stick with… Metal box… Namely ertiga…

nope i booked carens and xl6. Caren may take a month or two. Xl6 waiting for facelift.

Better to go for carens… Much more space than xl6… Along with 6 air bags…. Rest all the top end features you can get installed after market….. You just have to spend 50-60 k if you are interested in that…. Take the base or second base…. Petrol 1.5….don’t take 1.4 l turbo… Its gulps petrol…. No mileage…

Prestige plus dont come in 1.5 l… Its only diesel and 1.4…petrol

waiting to hear xl6 facelift hoping will give 6 airbags, decent infotainment, 16 inch alloy. If they give may switch to xl6. Already booked two xl6 from two dealers. Lets hope for best.

Yes waiting period is much.  But kia is ramping up its capacity to 3 lakh vehicles per month…. Best if you can give fake marriage card… You can even get in a month or two… 


Petrol and future cng  wise maruti has edge… But they are just launching facelifts for name sake.. Look what they did with celerio… 8 lakh priced vehicle dont have rpm metre…. Again same with ertiga… Price increase to value increase… Is almost zero…. I dont expect anything better with xl6… … I guess marazzo is the most underrated car in this segment… Design and features wise it might lag… But build and else is very good… Space.. Driving

I agree. marazzo is good car  but somehow the shape i did not like it. Its 4* rated and good compared to carens and xl6. Its been 3 years since marazzo is launched and they did not do any outlook changes to push more. I feel they discontinue it in a year or so. Also i heard no so good of  after sales service of Mahindra.

if ertiga top model is 12.79L, i am sure xl6 will be priced around 13.5L ex-showroom, on par with carens. That will be the biggest mistake 🙃 maruti will do or not is the question.

If you really want to go for xl6… You can go for old model… After the launch of new… There will be steep discount on old one……. You can talk to showroom of your city or nearby districts…

The update will be mainly cosmetic… And new engine… Is only giving 1- 1.5kmpl more mileage… Not a very significant difference…

i already checked for old stock. No AT in stock. Only manual once he said.

I currently own hyundai santro and it served its life not troubling even once. The service cost of my pet now is 7500 in tier 1 city and around 3.5k in tier 2 city.

Any maruti service even now costs max 3.5k. Thats why i am inclined. Now comes with 6 speed AT and thats a breeze for city drive. 

Honestly, my feeling, the max speed in any city drive ~40kmph. 

Yearly 4 to 5 highway trips, strictly beween 5.30am-8pm is my pattern.

Please suggest any other car with in 15L with AT.

Dunno about Slavia, but (Mitsubishi) Galant, (Škoda) Laura (in so far as I know) had really good cruise mode.

Galant unfortunately was no longer viable to produce for Mitsubishi.

unless otherwise, one knows your requirement, it is difficult to suggest. Requirements like

1. City drive % for commute, highway

2. Nuclear or extended family.

3. Power vs mileage vs service costs

4. How many km will be driven in a month

5. Hiw quickly do you change cars.

The manual best car I would buy for 10L ex showroom is honda city 4th generation. Worth every penny.

Ahh… Not too many options… Lucky if you can find a good pre worshipped innova .. or the current XL6.. new XL6 will cost almost 2 lakhs more..
XL6 is on heartech platform hence maximum 3 star rating. But carens and Ertiga are also the same.. so if any dealer have instock.. it may be a good deal

just got lucky and got ywo volors of xl6 white and grey. The delivery is just in 3 days. Do you see any difference between 4 speed automatic and 6 speed automatic except 2kmpl more mileage.
