Today I was ordering oximeter as now a days it has become essential
Such a small piece of instrument which I previously ignored when the price was hardly around 999 is now priced 5x at 4750 hardly some are available and which are available mostly they are too at MRP
Thats the worst one can do in such crisis well that’s not what we can change as the most profit can be earned from the most needful only and at present we all are the needy.
Pricing vaccines to pricing these essentials all going wrong no caps nothing
Well leave aside business aspects
What to do next
Any suggestions which oximeter to buy without compromising on the accuracy because it’s for a senior aged 82 so life of him is the most important
Moreover want to buy a accurate BP monitor and a weighing scale
So in all a BP Monitor OXIMETER and Weighing scale
Any suggestions when to buy where to buy will be very much helpful
Stay safe

Prices are inflated for everything.
Had to do Hrct thorax at 3k, needed portable oxygen bottle as cylinder was not available, local distributor quoted ₹9k for portable oxygen bottle which was available at amazon for ₹250 in january.
Private room prices at hospital at starting at ₹10k/day and oxygen, medicines etc will be charged seperately.
Remdesevir 8 vials @ ₹1lakh.
Poor are in the hands of their god.

They are earning by death of someone needy
It’s a crime equivalent to murder
Deleting this statement to avoid panic
Yesterday I read a comment here which was very right
Pandemic is an event when the savings of poor and middle class are distributed among the rich
Well if you cannot become Tata or premji atleast follow basic morals
A human don’t needs 1.5 Lakh crore for his single life

All brands (selling COVID related medical equipments) are on loot mode right now
Most shameless one is “Dr.Trust”. They’ve even doubled the prices of digital thermometers pray
High time, govt announces a cap on the prices of Oximeter (just like they did with Masks last year)

There are some people in between this situation which are doing god’s work.
I got 2 portable oxygen bottle for free from MLA’s son and than there was a guy whom i got in contact via mutual friend, that guy travelled 60km on his bike in curfew to deliver 15 portable oxygen bottles and refused to take even a single rupee.
God bless him.

Yes there are
But most of them who are doing these are not rich by wealth but still are much richer by heart which is at present being lacked by the wealthy
The work the wealthy must have done is being done by the upper middle class rather the wealthy are at present more greedy to increase there wealth multi folds at the cost of lives of poor
And yes karma will surely count if not now some later date but surely will

This is how demand and supply plays a crucial role.

Kindly provide suggestions which OP is asking for. I also need to purchase a pulse Oximeter.
I purchased this weighing scale in January this year from paytm for 670 rs. Works fine and is sturdy. Least count – 0.5 kgs

Prices are inflated everywhere..!! Even on grofers/big basket… MRPs are different for same product and same quantity… 50-75 rs difference for some products..
All these firms care only about business and nothing else…

No one regulates the prices so it’s obvious. I have purchased oximeter too by giving 4x extra for my friend. And the pharmacist were like … if you wanna buy then buy otherwise go.

Well if anyone could help with the basic question regarding which oximeter bp monitor and weighing scale to choose it would be very helpful as buying it is not an option
Can postpone it by a day or two but not much
