My WD 5TB HDD suddenly stopped working. The drive was purchased from Flipkart last year and is in Warranty, also there was no important data on the drive. I tried plugged in this HDD on 3 different laptops and also changed the cable but it's still not working.
The issue is this HDD drive is loading and giving a drive letter on the file explorer but data is not accessible, when trying to open the drive, it keeps on freezing the file explorer. After it keeps loading for 10 minutes and then it gives an error "The drive is not accessible, the parameter is not correct".
I contacted WD customer care and they're only saying that they can create a replacement for the drive and cannot provide any other assistance. For any data recovery, you have to contact the other 3rd party vendors.
Please help in providing the solution for the working of this HDD or possible to recover the data.

Not possible to recover data, without expert chargeable service. Replacement by WD is easy under warranty if there is a collection center in your city, otherwise you will have to courier at your own cost. Replacement disk is couriered to you within 7-10 days.
Nothing for you to do.
Get it replaced.
Recovery cost can reach very high. So if the data is not important then get it replaced.
If the data is not important, then the easiest ways is to format the hdd and move on, no need for replacement.
Did u try connecting to a different OS (Linux, Ubuntu, Mac etc) ?
Check with the the WD Disk Diagnostic tool preferably the older one. Newer one is much more fancy in terms of looks but it was lacking in some features last I checked so moved back to the older one. In any case drive replacement seems the most likely route.

.... there was no important data on the drive.... Then why waste time with recovery? Recovery will lead to opening of drive and then wd will not replace it. Best way is to get a replacement. Since the drive has gone bad in such short time, did u use it often or very less? Where was it kept?

Did you ever monitor the drive temperatures? In my experience WD drives run significantly hotter than Toshiba ones (despite being slower), 5TB ones even more so and the case should only exacerbate it. Though I don't think higher operating temps. can be an factor in probable drive failure in a such a short interval.
Install Crystaldiskinfor and see if there is any problem

always monitor your drives with this tool will save you from a lot of troubles
and that model is kind of known to cause issues only go with WD, My Passport model
cheap is not always good please do your research before buying
there is a whole reliable model chart out there on Reddit which drive you can trust with the lowest failer rate and all
forget the data

If you are from delhi go to nehru place you can get your data for around 1k and after recovering go to wd service centre which is located there only , and you will get new wd hdd within 5 minute ,from personal experience
Buying HDD in offline shop safer than online eCommerce site
Thanks guys for all your suggestions, I will get it replaced from WD.
I believe the file system in HDD got corrupted and it's getting failed to load. I heard beep sound for few seconds before it dead so probably something got faulty inside whether it can be the head or controller of this harddisk.
Data recovery is possible but company charge very premium price for data extraction from HDD. I think data recovery is done outside India as brands manufactures HDD in China, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Hong Kong. This is why they charge us more money for data recovery & it's not 💯 % guarantee of recovery in case if the disk has benn scratches by header. If there is with hdd logic board it it would be easier revive the disk by changing same logic board. The old flash ROM of the old logic board needs to be transplanted to the new board else harddisk will not read the data stored in the disk. If the data is not important just get it replaced.
File systems are usually self recoverable with occasional chkdsk unless ofcourse the partition table is messed up or the file record table itself is in bad sector also the error it gives away is usually File or folder is corrupted or unreadable. My best bet would be the partition table, you can check it with the help disk genius, but beware it can seriously mess up the disk if you try to do something other than that. I personally use the disk genius for various hard drive related tasks like data recovery and all. More power to you.

Also I checked testdisk and disk genius utilities for the recovery and I was able to retrieve some of the files from it but it isn't helpful since my HDD included large video files which are not much important.File systems are usually self recoverable with occasional chkdsk unless ofcourse the partition table is messed up or the file record table itself is in bad sector also the error it gives away is usually File or folder is corrupted or unreadable. As for chkdsk getting stuck ot usually stuck when attempting to recover the bad sectors of takes too long, these are the signs of disk wearing out. I don't use external disks due to reliability issues i had with several disks including wd elements and Seagate backup, i shifted backing up my data to newly purchased wd blue disks with the help of disk docking station(using orico) the reliability of 3.5" wd blue is way better than wd elements ot wd my passport. If the ultra star were to get cheaper might shift my data to ultrastar disk station DIY NAS for better reliability and ease of access.

I thought this is a WD My Passport Model but after you comment i double checked the Image and looks like its a WD Elements Hard Drive which is basic one and Old Model.
1 week back in Amazon Sale, I purchased a Seagate One Touch 5 TB HDD ,I asked to Dimers and they responded me to take Seagate because of Seagate hard disk are normal 2.5 inch hard disk connected using Sata to usb adapter internally, which is useful if you outside case gets damaged or usb port part gets damaged. You can just change the case or connect the hard disk to a laptop or PC using sata cable and get the data.
By the way,How is my Model?
After trying it personally ,I have transferred the data from my other hdd to this newly hdd and after listening to @guest_999 that 5TB HDD generally heats up more i was making it sure to use it only in Night (Temperature is Lower) and Besides my computer table there is a Cooler which was pointed out in direction of HDD to make it cool and i was constantly monitoring the temperature by CrystalDiskInfo and was making sure not more than 45 degrees it should reach although Seagate claims that there newly hdd can reach 60 degrees but i dont want to go beyond 50 degrees.
