And you as consumer will be so stuck to it that you won’t look for alternative? Same was called for other sectors too, warna aaj bhi ambassador he hoti logo he pass.

So you see the reality, consumer is the king, but the market has been captured by foreign players.
If even the biggies like Hindustan motors didn’t stand, then how do you expect the small scattered farmers to?
The sector is different and completely labour based.

Being a noob in this field, I tend to believe every author that I read and that too from both extreme sides toungueout

Yeah personal point of view can be biased, but tge facts stated ( if true) shows how farmers across the world are in crisis. Even develpoed country like US cant uplift their farmer economic conditions ( even with laws like one world one market) and have to give huge subsidy to farmers to save them. Then how can a corrupt and developing country like ours can expect that farmers conditions will improve by introducing one nation, one market and doing away with MSP. Instead govt should have introduced laws to make it illegal to trade below MSP by any party.

Are you concerned about the government? As you wrote "those who are concerned about the farmers "..
The most basic thing the farmers are asking the government to repeal those new laws brother…

As I said in other comments those who are concerned about can read. Otherwise most the farmer demands are baseless and without any merit but India loves poverty porn. So, be it.

As quoted to you brother, gone through the same. I don’t find the farmers protest and demands as baseless but you might as difference of opinion is there. I haven’t came across a single point of yours proving the protest as baseless. Only saying it baseless won’t make it baseless.

1. Mandis aren’t abolished. So, chill other option to sell in market is given, otherwise mandi is option.

2. Current act mandates auction in open market, has it ever happened? No you just ask the middlemen the price and sell. Now, you can directly sell to other sellers with multiple options, if you feel you aren’t getting the right price but can you do it now? Eg online grocery chains are directly buying from farmer in ncr and are getting more than regular mandi prices.

3. Farmer protection is myth as question of predatory pricing comes into picture when only few business houses are involved but not otherwise and you can still sell to mandi.

4. You have right to go to Sdm court not higher courts and this should be changed and govt should change it.

5. Everyone wants profit and mandis are always open.

6. E Nam mandi is there in you district? If yes, you can register and sell on it, logistic are usually taken care by buyer otherwise file an rti to get the status.

7. You should definite read how essential commodity act is harming your farming business.

Bro kindly go through the amendments before writing such huge posts.
Faults in your points.
1- mandi is not abolished…(if a corporate gets to buy from outside the mandi without paying taxes then why will he bother to go to mandi to pay extra taxes thereby slowly slowly mandi will extinct)
2. There has never been a restriction on the farmer to sell their crop to a specific person. They are free to sell. Current act also doesn’t support written contract between buyer and seller which will prove havoc for the small farmers to prove the violation of contract as it can be an unwritten contract, according to the amendments..
4. As explained in point 1 , mandi will be over and become extinct. The biggest example is Bihar.
6 E-nam mandi failures have already come in light. Most of the people don’t know it and the portal is also not even worth it with many states still not signed it.
7. The harm which it is doing today is much less then going for a single player monopoly

Let’s keep it short

1. Mandi don’t pay taxes to govt but they levie and use it for their own purpose.

2. Just read how APMC does it, if farmer is selling to middleman it has to go through mandi.

3. Bihar is comparing apple with oranges atleast check the difference.

4. So, 2 year reforms is faulted but 30 year old farmer laws are rising farm incomes?

5. Harmed was called for 1991 reforms too but results are quite contrary.

Are you a farmer? Who can understand the new farm amendment better than farmers. Government wants bring private players forcing farmers to sell them their crops rather than government mandi. Government consider MSP as burden for economy & wants to get away by bring privatize players. MSP must be provided to farmers granted by government.

It is requested to the farmers:
1. Not to grow rice in the fields due to lack of Water resources.
2. Not to burn parali.
3. Not to use excess UREA.
4. Not to use excess Pesticides.

Lekin HAM NAHI MAANENGEY, ham KISAAN hai.

But farmers knows best, who are you to tell? Govt is pro corporate mandi ma produce auction ho nahi rahi but corporate waley aa kar zabardasti le jaayengey, aisey toh sab boltey hai daam nahi mil raha and bicholiya kha jaata hai. Sahi hai India is going to stay in middle income trap, educ system is out date, youth are devoid of skill, negligible manufacturing but reform nahi karna hai (post 1991 ke baad toh Indian slaves ban gaye hai foreigns ke, India companies were in fortune 500 before it and ab koi puch nahi raha but capitalists media use sabko karna hai)

One of the demands of farmers is to abolish law against stubble/field burning which puts millions at health risk including families of farmers. They do it because it’s cheap & easy to do compared to other methods. If they are suggested any other means it’ll cost money – either farmers will bear the cost or government or it’ll be passed to consumers. To do things the right way it costs money. Just one of the many aspects why developed nations are said to have higher standard of life.

The initial demand was just one – to have MSP guarantee.
When no one listened to them, they got agitated, angry and felt stabbed in their back. So now they are extending their demands. Also, why not add the cost of disposal of stubble into the MSP, increase the MSP accordingly and then make burning illegal and punnishable? Make the two linked and the farmers would be happy.

Bjp organizing this kind of protest doesn’t make sense to me.
They are being bashed for a new issue apart from gdp and unemployment.

People with corrupt mindset like Yograj are toxic & they can hijack the protest.

Both sides should sit & resolve this soon . Longer this is stretched more people with vested interest will try to force their agenda.

Protest is completely hijacked. Real farmers are less than 5% in that fake protest who are brainwashed. Farmers don’t have enough money to bring tractor to delhi from punjab which will cost 10,000 to 20,000 rs of fuel. They said they have ration of 3 months. From where they get so much money. They are eating chole, puri, paneer, fruits. Which farmers have so much money
