You cab but it online through paytm or any bank like icici sbi kotak etc…
You’ve to upload your vehicle RC and licence to get fastag online.

Where to get it for free? I’m in hyderabad, any one got it for free? where?
my cousin (from North) said some Paytm people or someone gave it away for free at some toll. (somewhere around Panipat Ghaziabaad route).
and even above it says they are distributing it on highways itself.
so try visiting toll plazas
(it will be okay to pay at state highways right? or those too are)
Download “My FASTag” app, activate your FASTag from “My FASTag” app & load money through UPI.
You can link any UPI app and from the app, just put your vehicle number and you can load the value into the FASTag.
you can also recharge fastag using any UPI app (Phonepe UPI, GooglePay, Paytm UPI, BHIM UPI etc), just type “netc.yourCarRegNo@respectivebank”, (for example: netc.MH01AL5469@HDFCBANK)
first time send Rs1, if payment success then send higher amount

On toll plaza you can get them for free
NHAI has set up point of sale (PoS) on several toll plazas across the country, and they are giving out FASTags free of cost. FASTags are being given free of cost only* where NHAI has established POS*

I’m confused where to get this tag? There are ads everywhere about giving fastags but is there any official site where we can order it online?
