Since Diwali is around the corner, Thought of sharing some decoration ideas which you can also use for different Upcoming festivals & And Parties too. Hope this will help if someone is looking for reusable ideas for decoration.

1. Matka Diya
As Name suggests, it is diya in matka. We all once might have eaten matka kulfi at once, but never thought we could make use of it for such things. Also we have come across

such diya and it looks very elegant and beautiful.

Very Simple to make, All you need is

  • Candle
  • Matka
  • Container

Step to Follow
1. Start by Breaking candle into three halves. Make sure to keep the wick of the candle and separate it from it.
2. Now, cut the wick of the candle which you have separated according to the size of matka and keep aside.
3. Moving ahead melt the wax into liquid.
4. Take a wig and hold it in the center of the matka and pour liquid wax into the matka.
5. Make sure to keep the wick stable at the centre until the wax completely solidifies.
6. We are almost done, you can decorate matka with some beads and colors whichever is preferable.

Now you have gorgeous Matka for this diwali.

2. Paper Toran
I personally love Paper Toran when it comes to decoration during festivals. It’s only because we don’t have to spend much on flowers, lol stuck_out_tongue. Also we can choose colours according to our will.

I have recently tried making it turn out so beautiful I urge you to try this diwali trust me it won’t disappoint you.

Quickly jumping into things needed

  • Crepe papers of different colours ( highly recommended to use these papers only. Also its easily available at any stationary store)
  • Scissors
  • Thread & Needle

Steps to Follow

1. Take crepe paper and cut into long strip and Accordingly, fold 3 or 4 times in such a way that you have layers one below the other. Folding makes it easier to get the same shape and multiple cutouts at the same time.
2. Cut it into a 5 cm diameter circle roughly. Try same using different colors
3. Now put Thread through the needle and secure its one end. Start sewing the Cutouts like we do for flower toran.
4. Make them into a whole Long mala as per your requirement.
