it’s not gmail access.

It just wanna fetch the email address associated with the current google account on your device for security reasons.

It won’t be able to read or send any email from your email address.

Nope..They are not asking to sign-up with Google for security reasons..They clearly mentioned they can read emails  from specific merchants.. BUT WHO KNOWS..

"

  • Fi systems only read emails from merchants & organizations that enable us to provide you with financial insights or help you get quicker access to our app!"

As you are already aware, it’s a third-grade bank, then why are you still holding its account to date?

How you came to a conclusion that I’m holding this account from longtime..I have opened this just 10days ago..

Using this for daily payments like 50rs, 100rs UPI payments..to keep my primary account statement clean..

Anytime You can remove third app access if you don't want

dont ever give email access to any app not even cred. they will steal all your personal info and either use it against you or sell it to another company who will again use this against you

There’s no issue with giving ‘Basic account info’ google permission to any banking app.

Infact it makes the login process more secure.
