I was so frustrated from network quality of Airtel in my hometown area. Did several complaints but not able to resolve it. Finally broke 10 years old relationship with Airtel.

I ported my dad’s Airtel no. recently which was approx. 16 year old he was keeping the same no. with same operator since he bought his first phone Nokia 2300 way back in 2004 or 2005.
Even I kept a Airtel sim for quite a while till when their practices became so annoying that had to port.
You can if you wish so, but you may share your experience of similar situation if possible.
I have two numbers. One was with docomo. Then docomo became airtel. I changed my sim from airtel to Jio. I changed my sim from Jio to airtel. The other one is with Jio. 🙂🙂🥳🥳🥳 So, my mobile number’s relationship status with its sim card has changed thrice in between 2009-2021.
It becomes hard to manage single number sometimes, can’t think about having 2 numbers. Also there is no need now a days. Earlier we used to have 2 numbers to save money since calling was cheaper on few companies and network was better on few ones but now cost wise everyone is same so you can just have one number on basis of network quality.
My airtel number is 15 years old
@Tera_Jija have you got any Porting benefits like one or two months free?
I am also looking forward to port to Jio.
Yes, I got one month free 249 rs pack of 2gb/day data.
Overa Jio is done with its maximum capacity across India.
And they are more focused on developing 5G now.
Most complaints remains unanswered/ unsolved.
Even addition of towers in the same area is also not working.
Slow speed and congested network is the new version of Jio inspite of having full network.
Hope you strong and stable network.
I’m on way to port 5 yr old Airtel number
Good decision.. Im just now moved to jio from 7yrs old airtel. Feeling good 😇
Will become similar in about 1 yr. Already jio is deteriorating
Abhi to sabse mehnga jio ka hi plan hai.. network to aate jate rahta hai.. kabhi airtel ka to kabhi jio ka
If you have 2 numbers better keep one on jio and other on airtel. Sine places airtel is better some jio. Rather jio is bad in most areas.
Atleast friends and family can reach.
Wife switched both to jio. People call her saying tried your both numbers but you didn’t pick call. While there is no missed call in call logs on her phone.
Same happened with me today.. one courier guy came for delivering a package and said " I called you for address many times but u didn’t pick up the call "
While I didn’t get the call.. neither was a call log with missed call..
Ps.Bsnl network
can’t trust jio or airtel … both goes kaboom from time to time .
Airtel zindabad
Airtel is pathetic. It’s the definition of SPAM.
Do u get any benefit in porting? @Tera_Jija
one month free 2 gb/day pack.
My oldest number is BSNL’s taken on father’s ID. Bought and activated on Jan 1, 2003. This year turned 18. Thinking of marrying him now. He also giving income in terms of cashbacks from different sites. Anybody’s girl named Vi with age 18 can approach me. After marriage coupole will be known as BVi. Children will be proud to have a father with Govt job with no retirement.
Bhai pension tak ki bhi planning karlo
I keep 4 SIMs. Airtel, Jio, Vi and MTNL-BSNL. So far, none of the SIMs could give 100% coverage and had to switch between them, particularly for data, while traveling at different locations.
Now file for alimony.
