Never go for the paid seats during the booking, Web Checking as early as possible.
I only select seats while booking for air india coz they offer free seats for window aisle as well. All other airlines are looting in the name of the fee. Never pay for seats, always select seats while doing web checkin a day before. For point 2, the reason for getting seat beforehand is to avoid issues if flights are overbooked. Lot of people still go to the counter and select a seat without doing web checkins, so if you have a seat, they cant kick you off if its overbooked. But thats still not a issue if you're doing web checkin a day before.
Ps, lot of paid seats while booking are also free in webcheckin so always wait until its free

Yes , for air india i selected free seats while paid also appeared.
For vistara, only 3 seats were shown so i was kinda panicked and paid 1k /seat that too near exit. Later as soon as webcheckin window opened i saw i got thugged as many free seats were available.
2- when seats are 100 and everyone paid full fee nd it got overbooked so in that case those who didn't select seat , how will they travel (standing) or they just cancel the tickets?
I don't understand the funda of charging seats additionally within economy.

how many Domino gv can be applied at same time? offline and online? I have three gv of different denominations.
