So i logged in my preferred booking partner, easemytrip.
Booked tickets. While booking i had some queries, since at that time i couldn't risk so booked.
Queries:
1- before payment, it asked me to either select seats or skip to payment.
I selected seats which costed me 1000₹ per seat (additional).
As it showed me only 3 seats ,i checked on goibibo as well, the status and charges were same.
At that time, i thought only 3 seats are left so had to take this at any cost.
While doing web checkin at vistara, i found many seats are available however if i select free seat, it was showing no refund will be made.
So , as per your knowledge/experience, is it good to select seat while booking or wait till webcheckin?
2- why they charge additionally for seat, while i already paid ticket price (not for standing right) ..
If u know or want to answer feel free to. tia.

Checked that, in top some unknown website shown and later wahi emtz ibibo mmt cleartrip, out of all (except those unknown) i found emt the easy and cheapest.
Refer this website skyscanner to book in urgent basis , sometimes you might find it cheaper than other websites
If you don't want to pay for paid seat, then don't select a seat. They will assign you a free seat later.
Use Skyscanner rather than going to these booking websites directly. Because of comparison there the same site provides tickets at much competitive price

Skyscanner is just a search engine , when u click on the result, it will redirect to the website of booking partner and the price will get change if they showed less.
@legend101 @tanmayyy just now i booked an internation flight vistara.
i checked emt, fk , both showed 51-52k, which when i check ct it showed me 43k.
then i searched via skyscanner and found that same ct at 41k if redirected via skyscanner.
i dont understant why there is so much of difference in fare.

legend101 wrote:I only select seats while booking for air india coz they offer free seats for window aisle as well. All other airlines are looting in the name of the fee. Never pay for seats, always select seats while doing web checkin a day before. For point 2, the reason for getting seat beforehand is to avoid issues if flights are overbooked. Lot of people still go to the counter and select a seat without doing web checkins, so if you have a seat, they cant kick you off if its overbooked. But thats still not a issue if you're doing web checkin a day before.
Ps, lot of paid seats while booking are also free in webcheckin so always wait until its free
Hi bro, just booked an AirAsia flight and web check-in window is opened from 14 days before boarding till date of flight. My question is if I do web check-in now Vs 1 day before boarding, will there any difference in seat booking charges. Cos for now it's showing ₹450 for a window seat... So if flight is after a week should i wait for 6 days , or price will remain the same in web check-in.
