Flipkart changed return policies. Now visit the service center within 7 days to return in case of any issues. Saw this for all mobiles.

Check this discussion thread
7 days service centre returns means service centre will give replacement ?
or repair
if online site is selling product they must take the responsibility
fk sucks
What happens in the situation when we don't have a service centre nearby ? Or someone is not free to visit service centre ?
Or someone might have ordered for an elderly family member living in a remote location who simply can't travel 6-7 hours just to get their faulty product repaired

what about brands launching exclusive products on this website?
I don't think the consumer forum would be able to do anything in such cases as they are informing you before buying the products.
I think there should be a set rule that these companies must abide to, Flipkart randomly blocking accounts, not accepting cancellation request, etc appears that they no more care about costumers
Service centers are a piece of shift, I buy a budget phone and use it for around a year.
Expecting that I don't have to visit the service center (The phone will work1 year mostly without any issue).
Most issues and returns are due to bad quality checks at the company end. (Screen pixel, tint, speaker, camera...).
For this also going to the service center is not acceptable.
moreover, these budget brands have Sarvajanik service centers. (Multiple Brands [Third Party handlers]).

FK/Mobikwik...etc blocking erratically or OYO not allowing chk-in or airlines denying seat for confirmed ticket also all these are absurd but we have to live with them unfortunately as legal process is even more tedious and time consuming

now what if they intentionally sell me a mobile with defect , so now i will need to visit service centre for that .. wow
hackerboys wrote:You simply need to stop buying from such defective products manufacturing company which can't even provide service centres in your city. Samsung(& maybe even redmi/realme) also make defective products which also cost more but in return they do have a much wider service network. Also flipkart is not going to "intentionally" sell you a defective mobile unless you think they break open seal of every phone shipped to them & after inspecting they pick from a list of users whom to send defective pieces & then re-attach the seal in exact same manner as the manufacturer.

FK may not do it but manufacturer can ship low quality stuff which is ment for selling on FK.
In my experience my asus phone had a defective screen out of the box. FK replaced it after someone came to my place to confirm the defect and authorise the replacement. Amazon was doing it without any site visit (don't know how it is now). Without even this much support, why should one buy from FK?

Be that as it may, it takes away incentive to buy from them. Might as well buy from shop...
I was stocked to hear.. but i escalated it different way instead of saying defective i said is it damaged on delivery.. they took time but finally replaced..
