Hello. What will happen if Flipkart cancels an order from their side for an EMI transaction ? Will the whole amount be refunded back to CC ? Will EMIs still start ? And if yes then how to cancel it ? Would I have to pay interest or pre-closure charges or any other charges ?

It depends on card to card, no the refund wont cancel the emi, it will go as usual. For ex- sbi charge 100+gst for emi setup..so u have to pay that amount no matter what happens, also for emi closure u need to contact concerned bank/card cc.
Actually SBI does refund proc fees if emi is cancelled by merchant

In my stupid understanding, EMI should be cancelled. If they are mischievous then 1st month emi + processing charges if any ll be deducted. Then EMI deducted ll be redeposited to the cc account in the next cycle. That's why I am guessing only. 😔😔

@still_guessing bhai, can you shed some lights on this matter?

The above is correct process.

If the EMI reversal happened within billing period, 1st EMI will not be charged.
In rare cases if the EMI reversal happened late, then 1st EMI will be posted and reversed later including interest and GST.

Bhai, honestly speaking I don't have much idea on EMI stuff. I am tagging more people for the same.

It depends on when they cancel the order if it's done within a day or two this txn won't even reflect in your account since it takes time for banks to settle txns on cc (though the merchant receives the same in a day)...This is just my POV.. I can be wrong too sweat_smile

everyone above my comment is right generally flipkart takes so much time to settle the transaction and post that cc provider takes time to convert it into emi's if it is cancelled before that then no charges else they will take processing fee atleast this too depends upon cc providers.
