Flipkart Fridge Exchange Issue- Loss of 5k

I ordered Haier fridge yesterday with exchange offer of 5k for the old fridge. Today, the delivery executive came for delivery and when I informed him about exchange, he was really surprised, like he was not aware of it. Still, he checked the old fridge and didn't find any issues as we had specifically not emptied fridge to show it was in working condition but that executive's attitude was indifferent and I knew he would create issues.
He called up his senior who immediately asked him to reject the exchange and to take extra 5k (Exchange Bonus). I spoke to that senior as well as the delivery agent but they were not willing to budge. In fact, that senior idiot (dont know whether he was dumb or trying to fool me) told me over phone that I have to pay 5k cash to them irrespective of exchange- he wanted old fridge as well as 5k. I was really pissed and shouted at him but no go.
Called up FK customer care who told me to not give a penny to them but the delivery agents were adamant for money and they were willing to take back the fridge but it was urgently needed and also had got it at good offer, so I paid 5k and cancelled exchange. I complained to FK to take action against this delivery agency but still am so so angry!

Anything we can do, to teach these idiots a lesson?

Mere sath aise hi laptop me hua tha jo delivery boy aaya tha usko pta hi nhi tha kaie check krte hain kehta office lekr jaana pdega, fir mai uske sath gya apni vehicle pe than vahan jaake pta chala koi senior sunne ko teyaar nhi tha sab use aage ke aage bhej rhe the, than 1 person ne checking ke liye liya fir usse on nhi hua, than kehta isme ye kaise hoga vo kaise hoga than mai verify krvaya aur last me aaje mujhe kehte aap dooor khade ho jaao allowed nhi hai hai, aur uske baad screen ko fail kr diya than mujhe kehne lge 19k valr order ke 2700 dene pdenge with exchange maine mana kr diya,Old laptop ki value mujhe 13k mil rhi thi to inhone screen issue mark krke 5k krva di.
Bhai...kisi ka gussa kisi aur par..now dat delivery guy mood will get spoilt and he will not deliver someone else order... Aise hi toh nafrat spread hoti hai..one guy mistake and it keep spreading...
My AC cooling was not working due to gas issue. Flipkart exchange guy told me you shud ve added working condition...extra 1500 extra benefit but didn't wanted to take chance since had to uninstall old AC and got 10k extra disc using all coupons .... Life main acha Bura sab hota hai... B positive

Anyways, as I mentioned in earlier post, I got pretty sweet deal and this was icing on top, so even without exchange, the price was much lesser than what I expected. The reason I am angry is because of their behavior and the way they spoke. The senior on phone, despite getting positive feedback from delivery guy, outright rejected and he was rude in the way he asked me to return the fridge and also the audacity to ask me to give 5k along with old fridge to take delivery.
Have lodged complaint in Twitter as well as consumer forum and expecting call today. Want some compensation for their behavior more than anything else.
Only point is urgent requirement, and price increased after Flipkart Sale.
Issue happened with me while exchange of phone. It was old phone (j7 nxt), only 1400 they were giving. Placed it in my village 25km away from my location. I was surprised to see delivery boy on call told he doesn't know how to check it. He also kept phone on flat surface (on road which is not at flat) then he said it is bent. He marked several issues and 400 was offered with 100 pickup charge. The phone was in perfect condition, sold it to shop for 1800.
The same happened with my ac exchange (without working )executive told the non working rate will be less than promised hoping for some tip /bribe,i was stern and then he took back without any hesitation
I too had a similar experience with flipkart last year... the guy rejected the refrigerator for exchange and asked for 2500 through paytm.... BTW his behavior was nice so I paid him 2500. Now I got my old refrigerator repaired and it's working better than new one... 
Sell your exchange product on OLX if in working condition.
I got 6K for my old fridge same I was getting 2K on Flipkart.
This is very sad to hear but this year in jan 2023 i bought laptop exchanged my old PC for 12K with 100rs pickup charges which was hp pavilion G4, i only given 200rs to delivery boy and he happily exchanged it
In future try to communicate and convince them in friendly manner definitely they will help you even he said in future if you found and other best deals you may create orders sir I'll pickup "mere baap ka kya jata hai company ne promise Kiya bus koi defect visible nhi ho me accept kr lunga😅"
I had a complete opposite experience with flipkart. My bosch fridge was taken without any reduction in value. It was in pristine condition with no rust or damage. The cooling was not proper (the reason i got rid of it) but it wouldn't be evident unless you use it for a day. I had emptied it and cleaned the interiors properly but it was still plugged in to show that its working. The delivery guy couldn't find any problem and I got 4010 as promised.
My advice to anyone exchanging anything, specially electronics, always empty the appliance and wipe it very clean from inside out. You have higher chances of getting full value this way. The same goes for phone. Remove the screen guard and case and wipe it very well with a cleaner and alcohol based sanitizer.
