
Flipkart refunding the order before return pickup

Did this happen with anyone? Will Flipkart even come for return pickup after more than 3months delay or they just ignored this completely?
Edit: It was a phone, around 7k. Clearly a returnable item
no one will pick up now
if someone calls for pick up tell them cancel it
If that was food item then it won’t be picked up. If not then enjoy cz it rarely happens in Flipkart. Amazon does that for non returnable items.
Happened with my Order (Furniture), Flipkart refunded it but when the delivery guy was continuously calling, I ignored initially but after 2 days just for safety/security we returned the order.

Happened with me for washing machine. For sake of account blocking , I returned it to delivery guy although I can deny completely as Refund already received.

3 months is too long. Most likely, this happened due to a technical glitch and the return information didn't get passed onto respective delivery/pickup agent + About 4 months is the chargeback timeline (for both merchants and customers).. No way FK is getting the money back via disputes
Just send one mail (to Escalations team) +/ Twitter Support, wait for 2/3 months more and start using the device yourself. Don't think they will ever come to get the device back but incase they do.. Show them the previous communication mails/texts regarding the return pickup delay and just return the used device (You can deny returning the device too.. they won't be able to do anything but account may face suspension)

About last line, cant they take legal action?7k is nothing for FK and they are at fault too here for not picking the device for 3+ months, like it is their property and you're keeping it safe all this while (There's a possibility of package getting missed too). Anyways, if they get in touch.. it is better to surrender the device (Ethical reasons too)

I am not sure but they might hold your next orders or maybe they can contact bank to hold money.
In my SBI account there's one lien amount which is there but I can't use it I don't know for what they have holded it but could be due to any of such disputes.

@guest_999 why will they recover it? I mean they have refunded me in place of my return and now this is their problem why they are not picking it up. They should solve their issue of pickup instead of recovering the money back.

@guest_999 can i get any information from my bank about that transaction (with the reference number) whether a chargeback is against it?

Bro, visit your sbi home branch and ask the manager to remove the lien amount of your account. they will remove it *but they may ask some question regarding some txn happened 2 times due server error. It happened with me in 2020, i transferred Rs 250 and they credited Rs 500 (2txn of Rs 250 n 250), then after 3 months they call me to return the extra amount so, i asked them to deduct from my account. it was their own server error but still they imposed lien limit of Rs 50,000 on my account as a kind of show cause notice
