today’s the Flipkart wishmaster had denied the delivery of my Asus zenfone 5z. I had exchanged my old phone and according to him it should not have any scratches over the screen, it should be in Pristine condition. where is there policy over the exchange page does not say anything like that. please advise as to what to do I am not going to get that offer price back again.
The order status still shows to be delivered by tomorrow Tuesday August 14

Had the same issue.
Talked with with Flipkart CC several times, asked for escalation of issue, argued that I have agreed to Flipkart Exchange terms and not to ekart’s checklist.
My phone old phone was in warranty and after local ekart manager told me that they will not accept phone in any case due to screen issue, I want to phone brand’s service center and told them to fix the display or give me in written that display is intact without any issues. They given me in written.
Also told them that ekart is just a logistics partner, arranged by them, over which I have no control, and delivery boys are not technicians.
How can Flipkart rely on them for Final Decision.
After 20 days, they accepted the phone.
But I agree, their policy is absurd and problem is they don’t mention anything in policy which ekart is expected to check.
They expect new phones in exchange nowadays.
Btw, if you are not in urgent need and if they reject your old phone, you can wait for Xiaomi Poco F1 to launch on 22 August.

Called the Flipkart CC again and conveyed all the arguments that you posted in this post. they have told me that there was collected the issue to the back end but I don’t have high hopes for that.the ekart was arrogant enough to raise 2 issues in my order which I could see in the Flipkart app right now that my phone is not working and it is not supposed to be exchanged. I am not cancelling my order yet let’s see how far it can go.

Nothing much you can do, at least they should offer the phone without exchange.
But no, they return the phone, waste of resources.
Happened with a friend, talking to customer care didn’t help, they weren’t ready to deliver phone at full price without exchange.

Amazon is more liberal when it comes to exchange offers, I exchanged my old laptop on FK
i had to convince the delivery boy very hard to take it, only reason was that the serial number on the laptop had faded due to frequent usage

Yeah flipkart has become too ridiculous these days in terms of exchange and even during pick up for replacement/refunds. That might be due to lots of scams that have been done and they might have got strict guidelines. But some of these things are stupid and waste of resources.
I had ordered one of those recliners which was posted as a loot deal here on DD. The technician came to install but one of the hinges was missing so he packed it, put some stickers on it (confirming its a seal by their installation partner Jeeves) and raised a replacement request. But flipkart again started the process of technician visit on one day to confirm the product is not working and the next day another visit for packing. The guy didn’t come as he had already done it and would call me just to inform (so much waste of resources and possibly a way to siphon off funds to their installation partner?).
Finally when the guys came for pick up their boss asked them to unpack it and count each pieces of the recliner. He also asked them to send pics of each piece and they had to do it. But while repacking all they did was to dump everything inside the box causing cpl of stuff to rip apart. They just didn’t seem to care what happened after they took those pics.

lost the battle unfortunately. many incidents of this kinda happening around me. two of my friends got deliveries rejected. This idiot social media lady just cancelled my order after hanging up the phone. My consumer forum complaint still shows under process.

Is it a government supported service so that people have to protest? They are a for profit company who have the right to reject or accept what they want. You are not paying anything to use their online services and if they deem that the product doesn’t comply with their rules they won’t. If you don’t like them don’t shop with them as simple as that. They don’t have monopoly over anything and its a free market.
I am not supporting flipkart in anyway and in fact I order from them only when there are loots and big discount offers. I personally don’t like their after sales services in case of issues and I stick with amazon even if the item costs a bit more.

I had the same issue today.
EKART refused exchange quoting Volume rocker (UP was working, but DOWN wasnt ) So we cant exchange the One Plus One which is ofcourse 4 yrs old
After 4 yrs, how can one’s phone be in pristine condition. They must understand, as long as screen works, and motherboard is good. They will get a salvage value higher than the price offered in exchange.
But I fail to understand how one can keep their 4 yr old phone in pristine condition.
And unfortunately, ASUS IN must instruct Flipkart that they should accept working One Plus phones ( with minor defects) as they want to promote their 5z to One Plus owners.
But no luck from Flipkart or ASUS

This is Flipkart sales strategy. People want something for the old product once u order a new one u r mental fixed to get the new product. But Flipkart has hired people who see the old product and tell if they can fetch the money worth from it, if not they will say something wrong with it n exchange is not acceptable. Then they ask cash for the difference. By this time u would committed for the new product and most of the people will pay. It is pure marketing. So in theory Flipkart doesn’t loss money on exchange and will deceive the consumer.

They rejected mine too. only one small is there near power button. All working fine. Display like new. that idiot (Wishmaster) dont know the difference between back button and recent task button. I explained you have to long press then only it will show recent apps. That guy was saying that button is also not working. For these silly reasons my honor bee was rejected for exchange.

I also experienced this kind of issues. Flipkart is just time passing or laying a bait by offering the exchange to raise their sales. Pls don’t ever fall in this trap. I had two bitter exchange experience. 1. want to exchange my old AC which was a non-invertor and in working condition. I heard that invertor AC’s consume less power, hence ordered the same by exchanging my old AC. As per their delivery notice, uninstalled my AC and kept ready for pick up. Their delivery guy came and shared the make/model info to some one and got some SMS instruction from their back office. After that searched the AC, like a detective and shown a screw on ODU, which was slightly rusted as a reason for exchange denial and asked to pay the entire amount for delivery. A small screw rust as a reason for not accepting the exchange on ODU, that too in Chennai climate is just a mere pretence, which any one can understand. I lost Rs 1500 for de-installing my AC and faced hot nights till another AC purchased and installed. Later I exchanged the same under Amazon exchange offer.
2. Want to purchase a smart TV to replace my existing LG LED Tv. Ordered a TV under flipkart exchange offer. Delivery boy came and took the snap of make/model info and shared with some body. Waited for the revert and till that time, pressed all the buttons on TV. Later on receiving an SMS, told that volume buttons are not working properly. I shown him by operating the volume buttons, which was perfectly working. He says, when he press the button not working, hence it is not acceptable for exchange.
I called their help desk and ask to cancel my order and return my money. It clearly indicates that its a cheap marketing trick and seems they might be expecting a brand new, pristine condition items only for exchange. Don’t waste your time and money by going with Flipkart exchange offers!!!

Yes, don’t buy it us basically a ploy. They check rust in Fridge. Its a fridge with food items, water, and ice, then how come it will live without rust. Why are they expecting, a new fridge without being used for food or water or ice?
They basically want you to pay the differential, as you are in the flow and moment to get something new.
