Flipkart (Retailnet) sent me fake Nivia Shoes
It's disappointing to see Flip Kart's in-house seller Retailnet is selling fake products.
Evidence: https://www.flipkart.com/nivia-super-court-2-0-badminton-shoes-men/p/itmb408ab8486120
Check the customer's review pictures, the insole is of a different brand, even the shoe I received has the same insole and not of NIVIA's. The logo and design are also different as you can notice. Three customers have posted pictures excluding me, out of which 2 are fake. So out of 4, 3 are fake.
Niva's official page:
https://www.niviasports.com/product/Badminton/Badminton-Shoes/nivia-super-court-2-0
This is the 4th shoe I am returning within a month.
Previously purchased shoes:
PUMA Varion Badminton Shoes For Men (fake)
ADIDAS IND TOP Badminton Shoes For Men (fake) Asics (Original but I didn't like the fit)
I noticed this on the Asics product page...
This is a genuine product of ASICS India Pvt. Ltd. The product comes with a standard brand warranty of 90 days.
Even Puma gives a Warranty on FK, but the Varion one didn't have it.
Only on a few Puma shoes, I can see the warranty details...
This is a genuine product of Puma Sports India Pvt Ltd. The product comes with a standard brand warranty of 90 days
So. only the products with Warranty Disclaimer are genuine and the rest all are Fake? This is a big-level Scam.
I am fed up with FK. I have sent an email to FK and Nivia's support to call for an inquiry with a link to this post, let's see if they reply. 😄

If u have multiple experience then y u going back to flipkart !!! .. buy it from offline or brand website... Dont buy any fashion items from flipkart/Amazon moslty they are not orginal items-my suggestion

I like FK's return policies, I can return these without any issues and I have a lot of time since this is going to be my spare shoe only.
abhijith143 wrote:Yup, Mine was the last order I think. The seller is different now.
Are u sure the seller is "Retailnet" ? Bcz my account not showing retailnet ..
sherlock wrote:Yes, I highly doubt they are doing it deliberately. Most of the customers won't even know that they have received a fake product.
Those were the days when some people used to order Genuine Products from Flipkart and return them with fake 1st/2nd Copy. Now they are doing this to customers and genuine customers are paying the price
The boxes were also in a pathetic condition. No way they can justify those being new products.
The rest will just return and not waste their time. Win-Win for Flip Kart, I couldn't even start Imagining the number of fake products sold on these online platforms, most of the first time shoppers would be their prime targets for running these repeated useless sales.
Order shoes from Ajio.
Search for nivia foot comfirt in nivia site, you will find that sole.

Even I thought the same while ordering but your question raises a point as well. Maybe they were too lazy to replicate the insole and they sent a foot comfort from Nivia.

Your concern doubted my findings, I decided to check the customer review pictures on a different NIVIA shoe.
https://www.flipkart.com/nivia-powerstrike-2-0-...
Look, What I have found.
The shoe with a different Insole has NIVIA tag printed vertically, why would NIVIA make two different kinds of shoes?
I did my research on the ones I have received, and the ones on the Fk's review pictures are 100% fake except one.

Oohh
Design-wise the original and the fakes are close replicas, but the finish and the cushion are very bad in the one which I received.
Let's be optimistic here, you never know maybe NIVIA themselves are manufacturing an inferior product to cover the costs and FK is their victim. 😜
Post on reddit about RetailNet selling fake CPU's
Heavy discount items like shoes, branded clothes on Flipkart all are either copy or very old stock. Once i bought Flying machine Jeans and in first wash colour faded (seller was retailnet)
Sometime Flipkart selling at heavy discount offer but they cancel by saying mrp error.

😢Yes, it looks like they are deliberately selling first copy / fake goods
Next order place karo aur tum bhi nakli churan wala note dedo
How much can you trust the brand itself? There were raids some time back in Bangalore in so-called Reputed Factory Outlets and a huge amount of fake branded products were caught. If you see the stock during sale in most showrooms, you will find subpar and inferior products compared to non-sale items. Many companies are nowadays manufacturing low-quality huge-quantity items without proper packaging specifically for sale periods. When Online retails ask for stocks for sales for heavy discounts, these companies do similar thing to maintain margins. Very few companies have the morale to maintain quality products, no matter what and will conduct regular checks on retailers for fake/sub-par items. They have genuine sale, where they do clearance sale and do not get into manufacturing specially for sale. Its getting tougher and tougher to find such products/companies.

Sometimes old unsold inventory is sold via flipkart/amazon which doesn’t match current product quality or upgrades.
Not saying this is the case here, but I have seen this happening. However probably for your case it was a duplicate product.

Flipkart Vs Skechers: What’s The Case?
Here is the series of events leading up to Flipkart’s offer for an out-of-court settlement to Skechers:
- In December 2017, Skechers filed cases in the Delhi high court against online sellers for selling fake products under the Skechers brand name
- The accused included Flipkart and four of its sellers — Retail Net, Tech Connect, Unichem Logistics, and MarcoWagon
- Earlier, Skechers, with the help of court-appointed local commissioners, raided seven warehouses of the sellers in Delhi and Ahmedabad
- 15,000 pairs of fake ‘Skechers’ shoes were found during the raids
At that point in time, Skechers had issued a statement that said: “Flipkart is an online marketplace that helps sellers connect with customers across the country, We only act as an intermediary. We conduct our business with the highest standards of integrity and are fully compliant with all the rules of the land. We cannot comment on the current issue as it is sub-judice.
Earlier, an investigation by News18 revealed that 60% of the sports goods and 40% of the apparel being sold in online “sales” on ecommerce platforms such as Flipkart, Shopclues, and Snapdeal were fake. The report said that manufacturers of fakes and counterfeit sellers were using “loopholes in the Information Technology Act to sell such products while online retailers were shrugging off responsibility by claiming to be intermediaries.”

Puma official stores sell fakes and defective ones from factory directly in India. It's not just them.
It's actually a pathetic story in India. Another recent case was all major online shopping platforms and direct brand manufacturers selling defective pressure cookers (with fake trusted tags like 7 safety checks and so on) and getting caught by official after a serious complain. And they were punished a mere 1 lakh rupees each from amazon, flipkart, etc. They actually made crores but 😕
There needs to be a huge pressure from Indian customers on businessmen whether big or small to finally stop this crime but who cares?

This is why they're getting bold. Our law favours the crooks, only if someone IS a lawyer or has the luck to get a rare lawyer who pursue justice (instead of planning on leeching dry their customers' money) wins case.
I tried once complaining on consumer court and all I got was a scam call pretending to be a govt officer telling me to download a hacking app.

Myntra fake too. They also didn't post my reviews of 'the body shop' brand selling expired products online. Just refunded my money back and kept quiet on why they're refusing to publish reviews.

That's wrong. They could easily close the rude customer's accounts and reverse transaction or banned them.
I'm seeing amazon closing accounts if anyone gets caught having more than one account per household and flipkart for no reason.
