Restaurant Dinein menu
Magicpin in name of ONDC has started adopting Swiggy/ Zomato model of Listed price manipulation. Above comparison show 200% variation in prices as compared to Swiggy even after discount for Shree Golden Palace Restaurant
- Sort By
Listing prices are decided by restaurants. If ondc magicpin is taking less commission as compared to swiggy/zomato then looks like restaurant wants to earn more via magicpin and thus listing price increase as compared to swiggy. Discount given also plays a role here.
Don't worry after some days, the same restaurant increased prices on Swiggy also.
Actually restaurant and app owners greed is increasing day by day.
They think customers will order even if we increase prices 1,000 times.
But wait for a few months. We, the customers, are going to win because we are kings. We don't react immediately, but we destroy them slowly if this continues.

Its because of ONDC discounts.. Many restaurants at my location have closed home delivery now.. earlier they used to close whenever ONDC codes started getting applied and reopen after its was over, and now permanently closed.

But why a restaurant would expect to gain unrealistically high (200%) business/profit on a new /unestablished Magicpin/ONDC platform which has to compete with Swiggy/Zomato.Â
ONDC has been created by the same group of Govt managed institutions BSE/NSE/Banks who created NPCI/Rupay.Â
This model appears to be completely mis-managed.
aam_aadmi wrote:Model is not at fault it is this particular restaurant or similar ones who wants to earn more or whatever the reason. Ondc charges less commission as compared to others so as restaurant and customers both benefit. But in this case this restaurant seems to have kept prices high for ondc to earn more by paying less commission ( stupid move). This you can well check with other restaurants listing prices comparison on ondc/swiggy/zomato. You will always find listing prices to be higher on swiggy/zomato. So why only this restaurant? There must be a explanation.

You mean to say you paid 125? A person paying just 7 can't pay 125 😛
