I started drinking (black) Coffee only a few months back so pardon my ignorance but I can't fathom why these brands charge such a high price when offline Pure Arabica is available for Rs 500-550/kg. Robusta is much cheaper at Rs 350/kg.
For Black Coffee, which brand is Good?

I have a coffee powder but don't remember the brand coz it must have been bought sometime ago. It tastes bitter. I want something that has good amount of Caffeine and also don't taste so bitter.
Anyone tried Blue Tokai or Rage Coffee? Rage Coffee is at 499rs on hypd for 4*50gm bottles. Worth?
For pre-workout.

There's another variant selling at Rs 700.
Sealed packets. Most people seem to buy packets of Robusta blended with Chicory which is the least expensive option. It's good for South Indian filter coffee but black coffee apparently calls for the pure form. Reliance sells a few South Indian brands that range from Rs 300-350/kg. 85% Coffee (presumably Robustsa) + 15% Chicory.
Davidoff Espresso if you are looking for instant coffee.

The best Indian brewed black coffee I found is Smoky Falls Tribe coffee from Meghalaya. It has an unique flavour and body. Its pure coffee and no chicory.. But availability is an issue. Its available sometimes on Amazon and at the Meghalaya House located at Kolkata and New Delhi. Its very suitable for french press, so even useful on the go, all you need is hot water. I use the Instacuppa french press as it has in-built insulation and can keep hot for about an hour.
A close second would be the Araku Valley coffee.

It seems so.
One can get the beans or get it ground. I wasn't sure if my bog standard grinder-mixer would handle it well or not so I go for the latter. I am using the Chalni method! as displayed in the Blue Tokai website. Gonna buy a Moka pot sometime later.
Blue Tokai is amazing.
But Koraput coffee is OMG.

Until a few months ago I wasn't aware that coffee was also grown in Odisha!
https://www.reddit.com/r/IndiaC...e/ Many Redditors have managed to get the coffee beans delivered directly from the plantations majorly based in Karnataka.
