DCB forex can be tried,
Although Withdrawal charges & GST can't be avoided in India but you can avoid ATM fees in Vietnam which is usually charged by Vietnam bank
Hi
I'm travelling to Vietnam next month.
Need suggestion on which card to get mainly for ATM withdrawals in Vietnam.
I have applied for Niyo global credit card already but they have recently increased the ATM withdrawal fees to Rs. 600 or more.
How are the charges on Scapia, Bookmyforex cards or any other better suggestion?
Thank you!

Can we not use IDFC First Wealth credit cards to withdraw money from ATM's when traveling internationally? I believe they charge a flat Rs. 199 + taxes for ATM withdrawals; and the due amount can be paid back on the CC due date -- zero interest charge. Also, the forex mark-up on credit card transactions is not high - at 1.5%.

Anyone used this option?

I guess Yes, from that perspective. However, my understanding is that it is an FD backed card, so you need to open an FD with IDFC for the amount of credit limit you want. Personally, I'd rather pay a slight forex markup than block my funds.
P.S.: I haven't yet used IDFC Wealth CC for ATM withdrawals, so I am in a way also seeking other users opinion on how well this card works abroad for ATM withdrawls.

Used Scapia in foriegn trip recently, it is VISA based credit card and widely accepted. Truly Zero markup fee as they claim and transparent conversion charges(by Visa network). Applied Scapia card - no annual fee and renewal fee. Virtual card is generated instantly after vKYC and physical card delivered in a week. Bill payment from the app is instant and credit can be freed easily by clearing outstanding amount. Really loved the seamless app, instant chat response in the app is amazing.
Whereas bookmyforex is like a prepaid card and you can get the card in a day and need to load the money beforehand to use it. They charge minimal currency loading charges but you can use this for cash withdrawal unlike Scapia. Their conversion charges are also similar to Scapia but beneficial if you do cashwidthdawals at international ATMs. Note: cash withdrawal limits are lower compared to HDFC forex card, if you need high limit go with HDFC prepaid forexplus card but it has high currency conversion charges.

FD is better actually
you dont need to keep a big amount
for eg if i was gonna go for 7 days or even 12 days
25k to 50k is all i need on my cc
i can refill the amount instantly and it will be reset in 24h
this is the best card out there without any issue that i have tried
on top of that i would recomment you carry around 500$ or more
you can always convert it
always check google for latest rates so you are not scammed and you will get better exchange rates 5km away from airport
dm me for referral
dont use cc for cash withdrawals its not the same outside india they charge more

0% forex fees but there is conversion charges on IDFC cc that is very low
regardless you should not use cc for cash withdrawals always carry some $
disable tap to pay just for security
when you pay by swiping always tell the person to use their country currency for example im traveling to philippines then use Philippine peso as the currency while doing payment you will have to inform that person before swiping so he / she selects the right option most of the times they ask you but you should always be alert
last tip
always check your cc statement

I'm also going to Vietnam in the 1st week of December. I'll be carrying USD based on research that certain jewellers offer a very good exchange rate. For withdrawal illube using Agribank since they have a higher withdrawal limit (3M with a 22K fee). IndusInd legend has a 1.8% forex markup so thay will be my go to CC at POS.
