If its pishing from your end by click spam links you might not get. But if its becos of hacking or breach of data for sure you will get it. I read the article couple of years back, banks should pay the acount holder if they loose money by any kind of breaches.

On the eve of new year I was shocked to receive multiple messages of different transactions done on my Flipkart axis credit card. All the transactions were done in CAD currency and merchants were from Canada. Overall approximately 1.30L Rs. were siphoned off within less than 6 minutes. I immediately called the bank and they checked and blocked my card. Also I was told that it will take 90 days to investigate and resolve the issue. Till that time my card will be credited with shadow credit amount so that it won't reflect in my bill.
What do you think what will happen? Will I get the amount refunded or will I have to bear the loss?

I didn't want my new year to start like this!

File an FIR axis usually don’t give chargebacks without FIR
Always keep international transactions off . Check if its off

I did not click on any phishing link. Infact I was sleeping when transactions took place. Hopefully I’ll get the money refunded..

The guy told me that these are international transactions and you don’t need to file FIR for the same..

I have 5 more cards and I have been using CC since last 10 yrs. All other cards have international transactions disabled unfortunately this card had them enabled..
official_mandar_joshi wrote:But still get an FIR done. It will not cost you other than your time but in future it can be very beneficial.

Its Axis bank don’t believe their staff blindly. You need to do what you can do. See this: https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/tamil-na...

Same thing happened with my friend , he owns rbl cc, and international transactions were done at apple.com , fyi – his international trans were blocked + he set a transaction limit on domestic as well.
Still that happened..he got his card blocked nd also call apple cc, rbl said they will take 90 days, while apple told him 30 days… He was not suggested for FIR, he got his money in 90 days , he closed his card after that.
Suggestion – get an FIR , no loss in that…also don’t panic, u will get ur money in 90 days, just keep following with ur cc/bank cc. , After 90 days u can file rbi ombudsman incase things don’t go well.
I was also charged with 27$ on my citi card.. i reported within minutes and they blocked the card and reversed the transaction..
Also, it’s advised to everyone.. those who don’t do international transactions.. turn off your international transactions on all cards.. because international transactions don’t require OTP..

It's no issue for them finding random working credit cards for their illegal activity. If its pishing from your end by click spam links you might not get. Hi Guys, yesterday I got a plain standard reply from my CC branch :
Dear Customer,
This is with reference to your Service Request no. SAK00000728605 regarding disputed transaction for which you have raised a query.
Subsequent to the documents submitted by you, Bank has concluded the investigation process and we regret that Bank will not be able to refund the disputed amount as the transactions are secured two factor authenticated transactions with OTP/PIN.
Further, the shadow credit, if provided on your account, is being removed. In case of Credit Card, you are requested to make the payment at the earliest to avoid any additional charges.
In case you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact our Nodal Office at 080-61865200 (between Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm except 2nd & 4th Saturdays and Bank holidays) or write to us at [email protected]
Seriously! I mean how can they say that the transactions were done using OTP?? I didnt even received any OTP.. Anyway, I have already raised the matter to the nodal officer and now waiting for their reply. I have also filed an FIR in local police station and also raised complaint on cybercell website. I will go till the end but won’t let leave this easily.. 😡
My reply to the email by keeping the Nodal officer in loop
Hi, Thank you for your response. First of all I have never authorized these transactions with any OTP/PIN and also all these transactions are done in foreign currency in other country whereas I have not travelled outside India when the transactions were carried out. As soon as I got the messages about these transactions, I immediately called the bank and blocked the card. As per RBI, As I have had informed the bank in less than half an hour of the transactions time, it is bank’s responsibility to do a thorough investigation and I am not liable to pay the disputed fraud transactions amount. BTW, Can you please let me know what documents did you check? I have not submitted any documents. I was told by customer executive that as it’s an international transaction, police FIR is not required and the transactions details are already available with the bank. If issue is not resolved, I am ready to go to higher authority if required.
fir karvayi ki nahi?
Yes, FIR karwai hai

Hi Guys, Got call from Nodal Officer today and she said they will do the investigation again and will get back in 3 days. I told her that I need to know the authenticity of transactions, the IP address from where the transactions were done, details of merchant. Lets see what they reply..

On 01 Jan 2022 I sent money from my PNB via Upi 25000/- to someone and otherside the person got it immediately in his account
On 02 Jan 2022 Next Day after 24 hours I got Upi debit Msg from PNB and I got shocked thinking of Unauthorised transaction in my saving account. I totally forgot about my earlier transaction on 01 Jan 2022 and did not check my bank statement too. I immediately called CC about unauthorised transaction of 25000/-
10 times I called them 10 times they told me ‘Nothing to worry, Our manger said it is due to Bank Error/ Glitch . It’s not from your Upi user side. Its not a fraud transaction. It will be reversed soon with 24 Hours to 1 week.Hence you do not need to report this at all and they further added it’s not happened with you only we are getting lot of calls from other users as well of different amounts random account debits by bank.
Third day when I checked bank statement I came to know the 01st Jan evening transaction was debited on 02 Jan evening.
I got to know that it was totally my misunderstanding and my account was balanced equally after that delayed debit. I stopped calling them. After 5 days I got refund/ Credit msg from PNB 25000/- too
Immediately cleaned my whole balance from PNB and shifted to another bank and enjoyed the whole day and slept a peacefull sleep

I have been very much stressed out since last 5 days. Sutta bhi mara (first time) ..
I’m relieved now!
You lost more than you recovered if sutta becomes a habit
