Freo Pay at its craziest

Timeline of events :

Freo Pay started charging 2% + 18% GST on repaying dues via wallet (Minor red flag)

Then they started charging 1% + 18% GST on total due amount payable (Major red flag)

Now they've sent out an email stating that they'll now charge 2% + 18% GST on total due amount payable (Ultra Pro Max Meta flag)

...

I've already sent an email to them for account closure and they really tried to retain me stating they'll waive off the extra 1% + 18% GST after repaying due amount and they would refund the extra amount. Any way, I wasn't convinced with this as it would be so-so inconvenient emailing them for this and following up.

...

My question : Is there any app which allows Scan & Pay at merchants via credit limit / wallet. My main motive for using Freo Pay was paying via UPI at merchants yet not having small transactions cluttering my bank account statement. LazyPay won't enable the 'Scan & Pay' feature, no idea what's up with them and Amazon Pay UPI pay via wallet isn't enabled for me yet.

Freo Pay sent an email that they've slashed the convenience fee of 2% ... anyway, they've already a customer.

RuPay credit card UPI payment seems a better option now.

It's now clear that From starting, freopay's motto was just to bring customers on their platform and bind them forever in high interest loop. That is why they offered almost all wallet options for repayment totally free of cost during initial few months BUT gave very low spend limit. So that they can bring more customers.

Yes, that's right. I do have Paytm Payments bank account which comes handy in situations like these.

But now UPI payment via RuPay credit card solves my problem too. Also, using credit cards is a win-win anyday, helps you reach the spend based offer / annual fee waiver.
