From where to get ckyc number

Recently there were many threads in which users said that they received message after opening idfc account that their address has been updated (though this line is wrong and nothing is updated as such, they just verify it) I was wondering from where can one check the ckyc number? This doesn’t show up my ckyc number/id http://www.karvykra.com/UPanSearchGlobalWithPan...
Any idea from where can one check the same? And can the same be used in place of aadhar card/virtual id?

BTW, How did you trusted a website with no https to enter your PAN.?

Isn’t ckyc auto submitted when the kyc by these KRA’s is done?
About http/s, I tried other KRA’s websites too but it showed the same empty field. Moreover there is no privacy on the internet so I wouldn’t care much until and unless they are login details for internet banking.

i do not think that it can always be rused in-lieu of UID, but as per some bloke’s post here https://www.desidime.com/forums/dost-and-dimes/topics/central-kyc-registry?page=1#post_7232311 (in the thread started by @Digitalguy)

you must have filed up that form via some financial institution (Bank, AMC), right¿ so might as well check via them or at the cKYC site.

Thanks. So, to get the ckyc number through which intermediary one needs to complete the kyc?

Just an observation. If you open an upstox a/c, you will get an email with your CKYC Number.

First time investors have this problem.. This is not an issue with Demat or if you’ve submitted KYC with Karvy or Cams… You can also get it done with your bank… Although if it’s a fund house or a specific bank, better to have them process your KYC..

Had a similar issue with DSP BR, even though my KYC was active everywhere, they couldn’t see it so had to send them a separate form for it.. Its probably completely digital nowadays though…

Any demat acc provider like zerodha/upstox etc will show your ckyc number. In zerodha you can see it in console—acc option.

Yes that ckyc number is there. Why isn’t showing on that karvy website? My kyc was did by the bank. Is there any issue if it’s not shown on that karvy website?

Zerodha is showing it but karvy isn’t. Although haven’t used zerodha even once to transact. How should I proceed?

Kuch nahi aya.

okay, that’s odd. I get an email notification from CKYC every time there is an update in it.

Are you seeing your ckyc number on karvy’s website?

Karvy broking has been banned by sebi last year itself & to see ckyc you must have an online broker account it seems.
