Dear dimers,
I happened to be researching into front load washing machines and would be happy to get some guidance.
Requirement: 8kg fully automatic front load washing machine
Shortlisted brands: bosh 6 series, IFB Senator plus SX, one from LG
Most people are suggesting bosch and have given extremely good feedback about maintenance costs in general over long run but what I am skeptical about is high cost of spares in case I need one for both IFB and Bosch. Any experience about it?
Also, my cousin got a bosch washing machine during prime day sale last month and was suggested by service guy who had come for installation that in case they use a stand it has to be one from Bosch else the warranty of the machine would be void! Sadly bosch’s stand costs 3k which is quite steep. So this is an additional expense too.
Other option I am inclined towards is LG as that has good feedback as well and spares are relatively cheaper.
Any suggestions guys?
Thanks in advance!
PS: all three of them cost almost the same, a difference of 1k here and there may be.

Thanks for sharing your experience. For front load I unanimously hear praises for Bosch and ever since they split ways with IFB they have become even more strong with their appliances.
I somehow keep hearing from many that shopkeepers undersell Bosch for whatever reasons unknown. I am more inclined towards Bosch itself but still gathering feedback.
One major hiccup was with the compulsion of purchasing a stand for bosch machines which cost 3k but then got to hear that IFB has a similar constraint too.
So it’s mostly between Bosch 6 series 8kg front load and LG direct drive for me.

How’s LG direct drive?
Just bought Bosch fully automatic front load machine 8kg. You should definitely go for this brand only as it’s considered as Mercedes of washing machine brands. Purchased it from flipkart at a great price after exchange of old machine for 3500₹/-
Can you please share the link?
go for IFB,its decent and good..had used for 4-5 yrs untill shifted to a new place
@raghupro I would recommend LG due to the technology and the internal hardware they use. Bosch is also good in this segment, but I feel it is overhyped. The warranty thing you heard about Bosch machine and other stand is correct.
I’m actually not in favour of using a stand for front load due to mechanical imbalances and stresses which will eventually create problems over time.
But now, at the new place I’m moving, I need to have a stand for my front load. I’m contemplating over designing a stand and get it fabricated
@raghupro I was using Siemens for about 15 years but after that had to replace the motor itself hence went to kohinoor to get a new machine. The best brands are Bosch then comes Siemens (German brands) and then comes out atmanirbhar brand which is IFB. Some of the main reasons why I opted for IFB senator aqua sx is 1. Indian Brand 2. Too many features 3. 4 years super warranty for all parts. 4. Much cheaper than Bosch and Siemens.
That’s it.
Hope this clarifies.

Thanks for the inputs guys.
Go for Bosch
I too was researching and have compared between Bosch, IFB & LG. Main problem with Bosch here is delayed service, and in between all LG has emerged as my choice cos of the motor as they don’t use belts for it makes it less noisey & I am waiting to take within next month I am still figuring model for 7 or 8 kgs. Found LG a better option than IFB as my relatives suggested.
Is Bosch service a problem in major cities too?
U have to check with that enquire regarding the service by some of customers in locality,
any deals?? or suggestions under 27k… looks like this time there are no big deals for front load machines in both Flipkart and amazon…
8kg?
Update:
Got this bosch 7kg washing machine at Rs. 19700 including Complete Appliance Protection (3 Years) and exchange discount of Rs. 3300 for my current to load washing machine.
I did some extensive research when i was looking for the same 2 months back, fully automatic weren’t in budget but on the brand i can suggest.
Our regular repair guy (highly reputed & skilled), suggested to go for either Samsung or LG.
His opinion was totally based on part availability, after couple years as per him other manufacturers parts are no where to be found even when they are would be quite costly.
So there were only two options for me.
Secondly the shopkeeper guy (has good knowledge of the hardware itself) showed me a comparison between LG & Samsung, LG’s part were flimsy inside, lower quality of internal
parts than Samsung in sub 8.5 Kg range so at last i went with Samsung manual.
Good Luck!
