Getting calls from jio support regarding disconnection

Hi ,
On a secondary number, the recharge expired exactly 90 days back, i am getting calls after every 2-3 days from last 2 weeks to recharge to avoid disconnection.
So , my query is -
1) Will they actually disconnect the number , since so many people here have numbers active for several months and even an year without recharge
2) If answer to first is yes, they is there any alternative to recharging an unlimited plan. i already have a plan running on primary number, recharging another one would be a waste. Something like 20-50-100 rupees talktime topup would be better for me.
3) If the number gets disconnected after all, then can we get it back ? What are the charges in that case?

If you are worried about losing that number
Do a minimum recharge of 119
What is more important to you
119 rs for each 3 months & Mental Peace
Or
Saving 119 even though that number is important and face a lot of headache
I too rcvd calls like this many times, used to tell them will do recharge today, never recharged, call stopped nothing happened even for 3 months, now recharged as that number is used by family member. but that number had bal of 700/- always
another number also same state as above even now not recharged bal=100+ running smooth
both are secondary numbers(primary also Jio), are always in mobile and promotional SMS/calls rcvd almost daily
My Suggestion: imagine they blocked it now, will u go for postpaid? if yes, then recharge 395/- 84 days covered then no recharge for 90 days then recharge...safe method but always keep bal of 200-300
I do 119₹ once in 6 months.
Whenever they call to recharge the number otherwise sim will be disconnected, I always make fun saying Ambani told me JIO is free for a lifetime and why is he going back on his word
They used to call me to recharge, i never recharged after their call (though still maintain at least 1 recharge in 90 days after last recharge expiry), now they don't bother me, maybe they understand threat of deactivating don't work on me (this no has 1k+ balance if they follow trai rules they have to deduct a lot of balance before deactivating)
After the disconnection they will make the number available in the open market. So anyone can grab it.
Better do the recharge periodically and keep it active. Get Jio Phone if possible for small Recharge.
Not recharged my alternative number of jio since last 4 months.
Didn't get any call on alternate number. 😂
My secondary Jio number is working fine without any recharge in last 7-8 months.
Better to recharge. My number got disconnected recently after 4 months
I usually recharge once in 2-3 months and had never received a call from them yet. Today, it's been only 14 days since my plan expired and I received a call saying incoming calls and messages will be stopped if I don't recharge by tomorrow. Now, have to see if they follow through which would mean that their policies have changed.
Tell them that there are no good network/coverage/speed issues in the area where you are staying and they will cut the call. happened to me and talked with 4-6 customers persons and they all cut the call @androgame
I am in the same boat. Plan on my secondary number is expiring on 13 th June. And getting call from jio to recharge my idle primary number every 2 days later. I never recharged this number since more than year. After porting to jio i had got one month plan free. And since jio doesn't disconnect service i kept it on jio rather than any other company.
But now in dilemma. Just for the sake of 1.5 months i will have to probably recharge it.
Btw for recharging this idle number jio app doesnt even show talktime recharge option. 🤦 Otherwise i though of doing 50 bucks recharge.
Btw my primary number is always used for incoming. It's never idle in true sense. Only recharge and outgoing traffic isn't there for an yr or more.
Update- The number was not disconnected, i recharged it after 15 days.
Now getting calls on another secondary number on which plan expired 25 days ago, so it seems to be a bluff from some third party agents hired by jio to push people for recharge.

Just maintaining balance above Rs 100 seems OK. My Jio numbers are important to me so I recharge once every 3-4 months or so. At times even earlier if UPI re-verification is required.
Rs 119 1GB/day pack with 14 days validity. Maintain at least Rs 20 balance. There's a 15 days grace period but I don't know if Jio is following it or not. All talktime balance gets forfeited though.
