Geyser - Instant or Storage?

100% Storage geyser. V guard, jaguar, Ao smith, bajaj or any other famous brand

Instant geyser can only serve small requirements like water for kitchen or 2-3 litre water for mopping or stuff like that. For bathing requirements for 4 people, you’ll definitely require a Storage Geyser. 25 litre capacity should work fine for 4 people unless you live in colder/snowy regions. Racold is one of the best brands in geysers, I have a Racold geyser going strong for the last 25 years. Other than Racold, you can go with AO Smith, Havells. Would suggest not to go with Bajaj due to my personal experience with the brand.

As suggested above go with Racold storage geyser.

Take Gas Geyser if you bathroom is ventilated …running cost will be penuts of electric 1s

100% instant geyser, family of 4 would require a small geyser, again the assumption is the usage would be just for bathing

For a family of 4 better go for 25 ltr Storage Electric water heater Racold or AO Smith.

If you have a limited budget and your bathroom space is big as well as well ventilated then go for Gas Geyser for which you can do LPG piping from a professional and keep the LPG tank outside the bathroom.

If you’re open to alternative types and have a rooftop available, would suggest to go with Solar Geyser. You will have to retrofit your bathrooms to install additional taps and spend almost 20-25k for the geyser but it’ll be a one time expenditure and you can enjoy hot water for the next 10-15 years at nearly 0 cost and contribute to save the environment as well.

Depends upon your location also. If you are in North India, with temperatures going below 5C, even 25L storage one may not be enough. But for South India, 10L Storage should be adequate.

Brand – Racold.

There are many things to be considered.

1. Is house multi storey or in high rise?
2. Aluminium /Copper tank

Take storage buddy. 2 days before I bought instant geyser of bajaj 3 liter. Now thinking why I choose it.

Wats d difference instant or storage….

Just invest in solar for water. A 200 litre one will suffice all your family needs easily and will save you money in the long run.
And have a Racold storage geyser for those odd cloudy days when only 1 or 2 people will get hot water.
