Someone I know wants to buy a gold coin (with laxmi, ganesha imprint) to commemorate a ceremony and shall buy through me if savings are substantial.
Would like to know the best possible way to buy a 22kt one and preferred options (company/brand etc).
Also want to get the best possible rate, cb/savings and hassle free (heard of missing coins in online orders?) transaction.
CC held: HDFC Millennia, Neu Infinity, SBI CB, SimplyClick and OneCard metal.
Also open to options like buying GV using CC and ordering...
First time buying gold (I hate physical gold), so any and all advice/tips is welcome. Please help it out for a gold newbie...

Hi, currently flipkart is giving 10% discount on gold coins using normal SBI simplyclick card.As you are buying physical gold, price is included with making charge and GST(that's inevitable) .So, let's suppose if market price is 56k for 22k gold.Then coin will be priced around 58k.
Preferred brands: Kalyan, Mellora , Candere, Tanishq(costliest),BRPL(no certificate comes with this, but it's a reputed brand)
You can order from Tata cliq too, you will get 5% back as Neu coins if infinity card is used.
Can someone please tag dimers who are knowledgeable and into buying gold coins regularly?
bought 5 coins of mellora of 2g each total 10gms on April 22 each cost me 11409 total 10g=57045 with icici credit card

I usually buy from ajio with good price ~250-300 lesser than market price, if GST considered then additional ₹150 off.
Brands i have bought and verified: melorra, Kalyan candre, mmtc, bprl, whp, a.himanshu, Malabar, reliance, Bhima.
I go for whichever is lower price, all products i recieved are genuine from Ajio (preferred for rates), Amazon, Flipkart.
24K coins give better discount than 22k. Calculate the price of both before ordering.
Always be ready to wait for sometime like atleast 15 days to get orders delivered, last time melorra took 1 month, sometime they cancel so AVOID USING GVs, else amount would be blocked in wallets.
Currently ajio is running offer on federal bank and au cards.
For your first order you will get some discount if you create account through referral, I had got around 150+ for my 2 accounts., So you can create multiple if you can and get additional discounts.

As none of the gold coins on FK are deliverable to my pincode, another option seems to be amazon where I've found a listing where ASV is allowed.
But, say I buy a certain amount of ASV, can I pay the rest using SBI CB/Millennia CC to get further 5% off on balance? Or is gold coin purchase not rewarded on these cards (does amazon report gold MCC to sbi cashback or hdfc)?

Bought 20k ASV using smartbuy 5% + rest by loading payzapp wallet and then 5% off shop coupon code.
Both qualify for additional 1% , so effective cost 28,800 (5760/gm)
Delivery indicated is after a week, hope they don't cancel and really ship, else balance would be stuck in amazon shopping vouchers balance...

Gold coin & pendant
Usually u will see 5% icici apay cb eligible banner below pendants, these do get card rewards
No experience with coin whr 5% icici apay isnt listed
I my opinion, don't buy 22ct.
Buy 24kt from AJIO, Amazon, flipkart. When ever there are bank instant discount offers.
Pls don't buy with gv or expecting cashback.
Now a days ajio is giving 5%discount upto 250rs On reliance gold 1gm.
I am buying them.
Per gm 100rs benefit is also good for me. Delivery in 3-4days.
