My dad is currently using lic card given by employer. No rewards or lounge access. His spends are in the range of 80k. I am thinking to apply for a simple LTF credit card for him without any spending criteria waive off which gives decent returns, if possible with lounge access. One time fee is also ok like Indus aconia card etc. Lives in tier 3 city with all bank branches. His salary account is with Axis, any good cards from Axis? I don’t see any.
Any suggestions?
Leave things as it is. Older folks don’t like changes, something goes wrong they blame it on you.

Sometimes he do blame, but not in this case. He tries new things and not too old, just 52.

ICICI Amazon Pay – LTF and good rewards, but no lounge access.
Axis Flipkart – Lounge access and good rewards, but not LTF.
HDFC CCs like Regalia series, Diners series, Millenia – LTF (you need to setup SmartPay within 3 months), good rewards and lounge access.
IndusInd Iconia/Pinnacle – Good rewards and lounge access, but may have joining fees depending on your luck.
SBI SimplyClick/Save – Good rewards and lounge access but not LTF.
Yes CCs – Okiesh rewards and lounge access, might be LTF depending on your income/offers.

ICICI is ruled out unless they add our city in eligible list. And getting platinum first and then amazon is a big no. He agreed for this because he redeemed only 2 times all these years of credit card usage, and shocked when I said you can get decent rewards with other cards 😂😂. I’ll mostly try luck with HDFC. He has 2.3 lakhs credit limit on LIC card, that’s issued by Axis. Any card that can be easily pplied card to card basis?
