Don’t get Vacuum for mopping..as it becomes bit messy with frequent water refill and mopping cloth clean.
Get LADR based vacuum as they map the house well plus helps for better clean mark No Go zones + get something which has spare availability ( will require every year)
I have recently taken 360 S6..satisfied with the purchase

If you are getting get something which is usable..
All low price are based on random cleaning mode..they keep going here and there without proper navigation method. Camera based navigation also works well..but they can’t work in dark

How much do spares cost every year? I mean average yearly extra cost that we have to put on this.

I think 3-4K every 2 years
1. Batteries won’t last more than 2 years
2. Brushes/filter also needs replacement ( but if you take care life can be extended )

Guys how about normal vaccum cleaners? Are they useful in Indian conditions? Thumbs to look for and good brands?

I can only talk about S6 which I have.

It is good for sweeping. Has got three power modes
Maps the house, takes around 45-50 mins for complete house (1300 SQFT cleaning area as per the map generated). Have been working without any issue since last 5 months now ..
Have not required support till now. but before buying I did contacted them (they dont have center in my city, nearest one is like 200KM) and they managed to address all my concerns.
I have to empty the bin every 3-4 days(2 min Job), Have to clean brushes once in a week(big hairs get rolled in that. small goes into bin). takes 10 min (can always blame ladies for the same:P)

Coming to moping.
Not worth the time, as it has very small cloth which does the mopping also the water runs out after 2 rooms(so not worth the efforts..used it 1s…realized that it is not worth for mopping)….But as it sweeps very well for manual mopping with stick we hardly need 5-10 mins

I did compare it with S7 before buying…overall not worth spending 10K more for S7.
S6 pro and S7 have bigger battery(S6 has working time of around 2 hours..1 hour enough for 3BHK), bit more suction power(2000Pa vs 1800..not sure here .. even 1000 is good for daily need), and bit larger bin(its ok I can remove the dust bit more frequently) ..
You can also consider Mi Vacuum …it was unavailable when I got. They will have better service center availability

Thank you very much for the details. I will see S6 ….how it suits my need.

The cheaper one’s are gimmicks. My friend abroad got one for around 2 lacs. It connects with wifi and tells the owner which area was cleaned etc.

Normal vacuum cleaners are useless for Indian homes. They are only good for vacuuming carpets and not hard floors.

Xiaomi will have spares available probably. So, it might be good to go for Mi.

Even Xiaomi’s Mi Robot Vacuum does that bro.

The higher end ones will have better suction and bigger batteries I guess.

His robo thing is not available in India. I guess it has lidar or whatever and other features. Plus it is made for huge homes like they have there.
