Best_Deal_Hunter wrote:Frauded by Myntra Delivery Boy - Myntra Customer Care UselessDuring Myntra EORS I bought a Crocs Clog at Rs. 1482 and yester i got a message from Myntra that my order will be delivered by 9pm on 19th June 2022.
I called the delivery boy and told him to deliver it by 2 pm if possible , he replied he will come at 5pmIt was 6pm then but he didn’t came so I called him and he said he will be here at 7pm.
Finally he arrived at 10:04 pm in my apartment entrance and called me, and over phone i told him please came to my flat door but he don’t want to and told me I’m giving it to your security but i objected and told him wait I’m coming.
I went down and then he saying sorry i can’t find your parcel, I’ll give it to you tomorrow mean on 20th June 2022.I thought it’s okay. Now again at 11:16 pm on 19th June i got a message that my order has been delivered.
Still I didn’t get Myntra order delivered , I messaged Myntra but they are saying your order has been delivered 😔
So, 1 big mistake I have done is, I told when I called him over phone 1st time that -> "Please directly give the parcel to my flat only not the security guard as they are careless my parcel can be lost or stolen " as it happened earlier with some people.
same thing happened with me also from flipkart the delivery boy called and told I’m in front of ur home I told keep the parcel on the compound wen i check parcel was not there so called the delivery boy someone else picked and told sorry sir tdy i was on holiday so my friend delivered the product I will check with him and let you know after that he didn’t pick the call told CC the same they told sorry we cannot help with this case as the product is showing delivered 👍
There are multiple reasons why:
1) If he’s supposed to deliver 10 parcels in the same apartment (which mostly happens), he would be super exhausted to go to each one’s floor along with the weight of the delivery bag and deliver it at the doorstep. And, these guys carry more than 100 parcels per trip.
2) For security reasons, it’s always better to pick up the parcel at the gate instead of the doorstep as there are multiple cases of robbery and snatching by delivery agents.
3) Nowadays, delivery agents have a customer rating system which helps a LOT in getting disputes resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. So, if you have a good rating, your issue will be taken care of on a priority basis.
4) Although he’s being paid to do his job, would we lose anything if we walk towards the entrance gate or nearest pickup point to make his life easier? I don’t think so.
5) If the delivery agent becomes a victim of theft while making a delivery, he will have to compensate for it. There are cases in which they lost their bike helmets coz they didn’t want to carry them.
To each his own.
1. Like i said, the delivery person can be open about his difficulties
2. This isn't US, no one drops the packages at your doorstep. They call you, arrive at your doorstep and hand over the package to you
4. You can also make their job much easier by visiting the city/town warehouse and collect the package there itself (Avoiding multiple transfers within the city) but this isn't what the ecommerce portal promises you
Edit:
5. Helmets getting lost? That's one lame excuse to avoid doorstep deliveries. For about 200rs they can get a decent helmet lock!
