Got RuPay Platinum card issued on PMJDY account

I recently got Rupay Platinum card issued on my PMJDY account in Indian Bank. Earlier card was also a Rupay card and was free but not Platinum varient. So will this card be chargeable? As per RBI regulations, no charges are to be levied on accounts under PMJDY.

Pls share your inputs.

Only basic card is free all other variants are chargeable

Are you sure? As per cc, Rupay card issued on PMJDY account is not chargable. Although I’m skeptical about what they’re saying.

Also there are some banks which issue Rupay platinum varient cards by default on PMJDY accounts. Info mentioned on their websites. eg. Standred Chartered Bank. Fino Payments Bank.
