Is the Green Lines of thing specific to Am-Oled/P-Oled displays??
Yes.
This issue is present from the beginning of amoled display.
Mainly due to faulty software updates many devices became dead.
Earlier happened in poco also.
It's now happening with OnePlus.
after see update causing this problem ,,now everyone should buy least software upgrade option.
Buying software upgrade option means?
Display green line issue has nothing to do with software. It's a hardware issue. OLED displays suffer from it.
Green line issue is not as prevalent as tech reviews or Twitter would like you to believe. The number of issues reported compared to number of units sold is extremely low.
It is at least in 50% cases just a hardware issue. It happens because: 1. A loose, damaged, or defective display connector or flex cable that, in turn, permanently and irreversibly damages the display 2. The connection between the display and the motherboard is loose 3. There is a problem with the display connector which has been damaged 4. Display damage from water or falls 5. Cracked screen 6. Accidentally piercing the display, putting sustained pressure, water damage due to moisture, and etc.
The green line issue is more common to AMOLED displays that are 1-2 years old and out of warranty. The issue is reported across manufacturers including Samsung and Apple which indicates that it is not limited to any particular manufacturer and if you avoid the top 4 causes of display damage 1 water 2 drop from height 3 fire 4 sharp objects, you can stop worrying about green line and leave it to natural randomness/fate.
Somewhere i noticed during OTA Software update smartphones get excess heat if any how something not suitable h/w s/w during or after few weeks you can get following green, pink & white lines issue but it probably with amoled screen none of brands left including apple, Samsung.
In reditt someone reported due to high watts in charger causes excessive heat inside phone.
Main concern how to take care before this issue rises what things need to keep in mind?

Typing this post from my 8T with a shitty green line on the side. Never dropped my phone even once and green lines suddenly popped up sometime back. Their service center resolved it, but it returned magically again. Not buying a OP phone ever again.
After using AMOLED display, I can't go back to LCD display. 😔 Even, last year I bought ASUS Vivobook S15 laptop with OLED screen for amazing display.
My 2 yr old realme gt2 pro also has green line problem for about a month
