Green line issue is back ,dead Motherboard

My cousin just got green line in her oneplus 9R. No damage but not sure if she updated her phone.

I have oppo find X2 mobile which is 3 and half years old,  2-3 days back a  green appeared on screen after software update.. there is no damage on mobile.

I contacted oppo service centre, they created job sheet..now service centre has rejected my claim, they said they will take charges to replace screen. They mentioned about some policy change.. What to do now can somebody help

I did a firmware update of my perfectly good OnePlus Nord buds to get extra features like "reduced latency in games", "find earbuds function"... and now they started glitching while playing music! I was forced to buy new earbuds again.

Planned obsolescence - these companies are deliberately degrading devices with faulty updates to make users upgrade sooner!

Which IPS LCD display mobile is good. Dont want to go with amoled/poled etc to avoid Greenline issue.

I think they are pushing some malware through software update. It's BBK electronics China.

Dammm even samsung? Samsung has always been known for best qualities of display, faced motherboard issues with Samsung but shocking to see display issue

Is this confirmed for moto edge 50 pro also?

What i observed is green line and motherboard issues are from curved my friend mobile technician said thats why samsung stop curved mobiles

I read at few places that this is happening in Indian OnePlus mobile mostly!!

That means poor quality parts are being put by OnePlus in Indian units! That is very disappointing.

I've iphone 14 plus on beta IOS so I get updates almost every month and major ones every quarter. Never faced this issue. 🤦‍♂️

Software upgrades of phones are not the only thing causing problems. Windows 11 in some devices especially laptops does that. Mostly focused on dead battery dead or partially working keyboard etc. And damage can't be reversed. Apple ipad   pro M4 latest update made many devices brick.

My phone is not even 2 yrs old. Any chances Samsung will fix the issue of pinkline? If they wont.. isnt it better if I buy their 5K warranty pack and then go to them?? I will get free screen replacement right at cheaper cost than 20K etc right?

Information for everyone about android phones. I have Lyf wind 4S which has software that came with box never updated phone. Only battery swelled up & no issues till date. Redmi3s prime stock software- No issue till date, just battery changed 2 times. Redmi note5 pro stock software- no issue till i mistakely updated. Once i upgraded note5pro & wifi issue started and when I revert back to stock version by flashing then WiFi worked fine again. Samsung F14 stock software- no issues. I have blocked software updates in my Samsung phones by adb command. Once i rooted an android phone by root methods found in youtube & by installing root explorer i noticed that when we update any app from playstore the new incremental update apk file saved along with previously saved old apk file in phone memory which use more space. This slows down phone over repeated updates. That's why iPhone never give frequent updates of software. Apple don't want user phone to get slow by these stupid useless updates unless major issue need to be fixed. I recommend whenever u want update just flash the new version full software by USB flashing method. In that way old OS files remnants will not slow down phone performance. Before that backup images, contact.xml, sms & call history backup by softwares. Why people update software i don't understand, kaunsa kidaa kaat raha tum logo ko update karne ko kya zarurat hai update ki ? Why ur brain not evolved by time I don't understand. Never update any app, just clear data & uninstall it. Restart phone & fresh install new version from playstore. Phone software ko kabhi update mat karna dekhoge phone kabhi kharab nahi hoga. Never charge phone if battery heating high, avoid fast chargers. This will dry the dye used in CPU manufacturing, thermal conduction gradually lowers & phone will perform slow

How do I hold Samsung accountable?

Never update your phone if it's good enough

Got green lines on my Galaxy S20 Plus in 2022. Samsung customer service wants me to replace the display for ₹22,000. I never used that mobile again.
