My father bought a RenaultKwid last July and made full payment by August. My father purchased the car in his business name with his GST no. Now kwid launched new model and at time of sale delivery person said no new model will come.

A new model recently released and went want to change to it. then showroom says we have to pay extra amount, we agreed. But they are saying they have filled GST and gst amount of earlier paid car will be our loss. Pls explain what he means or he is looting us. also insurance and registration of car not started yet.

Just commenting so that it will be in top.
I think cars should also come with 10 days return policy 😆😆 tagging @GoogleCA @suplex_city Sry if irrelevant.

I think the showroom is doing right. They can’t just replace the car like that. Practically they are buying your old car and selling you a new one. Same like they do in exchange schemes. Revised Bill option is not applicable here because the original bill doesn’t have any mistake.

Bro first tell, is he issuing you a new invoice or just replacing the car against the old one?
In the first case, you will pay gst as per new invoice and gst paid on previous invoice will be refunded to you. He will issue a sale return invoice (in his books), and hence will get gst refund (In simple words, ask for gst refund, he will get it from govt)
If he is just replacing against the old invoice, or issuing a partial invoice rather than a complete new one, there will be no additional gst liabiltiy or liability only on additional amount
