No exciting offers on iPhones yet. There are few but only for NewLine activations (AT&T, Verizon). Some other offers for bill credit deals. Probably carrier locked (Not sure) or gets locked to that particular carrier once u activate new line
But incase if there’s a deal on Unlocked version, get it from a store that doesn’t charge you extra SalesTax (~10%) like amazon.com (Now not just NJ or CA, Sales Tax applies to many states)

In US..yes the sale started
Many Brands already announced BF prices
I doubt there will be any BF sale here (But i remember amazon.in offering some deals on BF)
For what u should buy if u have someone there returning to India soon
1. Memory sticks. Dual 8GB DDR4 ones selling for around 50$ and Dual 16GB ones for ~100$
2. SSDs/HDDs
3. CPU (If purchasing Ryzen CPUs + planning to use with an after market cooler, get rid of the included cooler via Craigslist n bring it here – Easy + less issues with declaration forms whatever).
Some suggestions – Ryzen 5 2600,3600 for around 100-150$
4. Cameras & Lenses (Some high end mirrorless cameras). Price difference will be atleast 30% but at a cost of warranty
5. Android Boxes (Roku, Shield…) & XBOX/PS
6. TVs (TCL, Vizio have some very good options at 300-500$. Even considering 45%+ customs still a good deal). And some local walmart deals (Like 40-50" 4k tvs for 100-150$) But not an option if its not you that’s gonna bring it & if u like that particular model very much
Also these wide screen QHD/QHD+ 21:9 monitors, they are pretty cheap over there ranging starting from 300$. Some High End monitors from HP,Samsung,ASUS have a price tag of almost 50% here in India. ( If you are fine with FHD/FHD+ then Indian Prices are almost similar )
7. Tablets/iPads (Won’t recommend mobiles because of Network compatibility)
8. Computer accessories (Mice, Keyboard exclusively available abroad)

For Voltage difference, you can use step down transformer
For NTSC/PAL, there should be an option to change within TV settings? (Not sure)

There are many options
PPOBOX/iShop (by ICCWorldwide)
ShopnShip (by Aramex)
and some other freight forwarders

The thing is..if u plan to use these u will end up paying (~50% as taxes) + Shipping (Depends on Box Size & Weight)
I used to purchase a lot via PPOBOX before but hardly used it ever since our Govt hiked customs charges

Right..its not just a setting (Googled)
You need a converter!
But some Branded TVs do seem to support both PAL/NTSC. Better check the specs first n decide
If u don’t have any cable TV connection, it doesn’t matter i guess

No need of convertors (and they suck in picture quality). Just have a hd set top box and use hdmi (even with sd connection they work). being using since 6 years now. had purchased a convertor and it was so blur and fudggy that didn’t use tv for sometime until learnt about hdmi solution. planning to buy a 55 this time. import duties are horribly high these days.

So purchased something from Rakuten today (20% promocode THANKS20 + 30$ worth reward points on 100$ purchase w/ Master card) grinning

Note: Sales Tax is 5% + 3.5-5% Markup fees
If order gets cancelled then use local US Card/Paypal
