this is how my breakfast looks like. People should be prepared to eat boiled things instead of bad stuff like burgers etc.

Preparation of Masala

take some cumin in a frying pan, add 4-5 red chillies(per 100 gm cumin), add 10gm of saunf, add 4-5 gm of ajwain, add some bay leaves, add some curry leaves ( green ones, don’t worry it ll get dry), add some black peppers (if you follow ayurveda then you can skip the red chillies and add equivalent quantity of black peppers), add some black cumins, add some coriander seeds. Roast em lightly on low flame. Then grind it n store it in an air tight container.

This will go well with almost all type of curries n daal.

Soak white/yellow matar/watana overnight. In the morning please check for any insect ridden matar n throw away if found any. Then add some raw peanuts, corn kernels to it. Take a pressure cooker add the mixture n salt. Wait for 10-12 whistles. That’s it. 

Chop some carrots, tomatoes, add some green pea seeds. Chop some ginger n mang ginger. Chop some onions. 

Heat up a pan, kadai if possible/a deep pan. Add a tiny amount of oil. (1/4th of a table spoon). Add some kasoori methi, add the ginger n mango ginger. Add half tablespoon of the masala we have made earlier in the post. Then add carrots, tomatoes n green peas. Saute em. Add some water, tiny amount. Allow em to get cooked. Unload the pressure cooker’s content into the pan along with the water used to boil the mixture. Add some water. Add some lime juice. Add coriander leaves. Serve in a bowl along with raw onions. 😎

The above dish looks soo unappealing. Itz because I have not added any turmeric powder. I don’t get authentic turmeric. So, I just skip it. And beauty of this dish is, the dishes used are easily washable. Just add some water n see the magic. Entire process needs 45 mins, which includes chopping, cooking, eating n washing dishes. 🙂🙂🙂🐒 That’s kinda a loot deal. No? And the taste is comparable with that of knorr vegitable soup. 😎😎😎

While I agree junk food is bad, I am sure eating it once in a while is Ok. We Indians are not like Americans (not all but many) who literally live on junk food. Be it burgers or sodas. In my stay in US, I have seen the ridiculous amount of soda people buy in walmart and such. They definitely don’t drink water, just soda all the time. An American work  colleague used to have a case of mountain dew in his car always. He consumed some 5+ cans of mountain dew daily. More I think.
